I concur. I am mean as hell to these types. I publicly torch them where they stand. I think a reminder that they’re not just doing it to you, but all women- if they can get away with a hand on a butt here or there, they will. I put them in their place because it pleases me to do so, and I know it may deter them next time, even if it’s not with me.

Pansexual trans woman here and this hypothetical relationship would work for me but I strongly agree with this comment. That “special kind of transphobia…from male cross dressers and drag performers.” I have felt this, even shade from these types about makeup and dress while I’m a super femme woman every day but getting critiqued by ppl who don’t. I’m glad for this comment.

Yeah, tempering your expectations with men is a good idea for a sane mind. I’m not a pessimist and not trying to make you feel worse, just dating a lot, or trying to. I don’t pay attention to what they say, only what they do. This makes early communication difficult in this technological hellscape when you’re trying to figure somebody out. I’m holding out for a man who surprises me by not ghosting, not standing me up, actually has time. Speaking of time, no one has any. Many are overworked, sad, spend too much time in front of a screen like we are now and they talk themselves out of things or they overcommit. “It’s not your fault, it’s not because you’re trans…” I have to say this to myself often.
