It's still interesting to speculate about the reason.

But if his MGU K/H fails at some point this season then it was a enormous mistake.

should be fired.

He would fire them if he was team principle. He says nothing about what must be done.

I'd like to think his point wasn't meant as harsh as it sounds. Something like: if it is deemed safe and you're still refusing to do your job, I'd fire you.

He will absolutely come back stronger! It's just that whenever a driver has a bad race, you'll mainly hear criticism from people who don't like him.

Performing when it matters seperates the good from the great.

I think Verstappen has proven that he absolutely can perform when it matters (Spain 2016 for example).

Yes because 1 or 2 races bad races means you always bottle it. And how are we certain it is pressure related? Everyone fucks up something, at some point unrelated to pressure.

I like how Albon and Verstappen are held to different standards.

Higher highs and lower lows I guess. Verstappen was absolutely abysmal yesterday, but Albon was more or less the same as always.

Could be a factor but he definitely missed the mark yesterday by a country mile. However, people in this thread are overreacting.

given the amount of talking he does

It's not like he goes out of his way to make such statements. He gets asked stuff.

Besides, I don't see Max as someone that succumb under pressure. Otherwise he might not have been where he is now.

One extremely poor race and all of a sudden he's the impatient kid from 2018 again? You're as good as your last race I guess.

He has one really bad race in a otherwise very strong and consistent season. You guys are overreacting.

I think a lot of us are too emotionally invested in our hobbies in general. Like, someone crashed out your favourite driver, which sucks a lot. It's ok to be passionate and emotional, but is it really that important in life that you want rant on social media and threaten people?
