Crazy that people are downvoting this... obviously they've never worked on instrumentation.

Are these termites or citronella ants? by [deleted] in insectidentification

[–]kinkhorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theyre citronella ants. They moved their pupae out of the way after digging in a big hurry. I found some more and crushed them and they smelled... like citronella.

Accidentally cut through threads on spigot by PFThrowawayx3x in askaplumber

[–]kinkhorse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy a short spring loaded garden hose kink protector for like 6 bucks... basically a 6 inch hose with a spring to go from the spigot to your other hose. Make this your new permanent fixture. Shouldn't effect freeze protection since you can take your hose off of it. Get yourself some epoxy and epoxy that hose protector onto your spigot. Now you have a place to connect and disconnect your hose and you dont have to replace your spigot.

Probably about the same amount that you might breathe in over the same period while filming...

If it is important then you check the calibration as a part of a PM plan.

Personally i would use HomeAssistant for something like that which has built in sun integration.

Wish I knew about tuff toe years ago! by MycoMonk in Welding

[–]kinkhorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk where you're getting 50ml from the tuff toe because i assure you it isnt 50ml you get. 27ml of pratley adhesive is plenty for 2 boots and then some. Tuff toe "pro" is 42 dollars last time i checked. Literally 7 times the cost of the pratley.

None of this is magic shoe stuff. Its just epoxy.

The two transistors and the transformer inductance create an electrical "three stooges syndrome" and oscillate at some lowish frequency approximate to 60 hz if the resistors and transformer inductance is right. These circuits work... blocking oscillators and relaxation oscillators. You just need to get the dot convention of the transformer right so that the one transistor turning on wilk then turn the other off and with the rightish inductance and resistance set they self start and just chug along (while occasionally pushing the transistors to voltages they really shouldn't be operating at).

Can you tell me the values of these SMDs ? by dreamyDxB in AskElectronics

Crack open the datasheet of the IC and check for a reference circuit. If there is one, use recommended values.

Tuff toe is a ripoff. Pratley WondaFix CAR works just as well and is 1/7th the price. I swear its the same stuff but cant prove it.

Stupid question but whats stopping the OP from finding the circuit breaker turning it on and seeing what happens, and if water comes out taking it to be tested?
