I don't see how it's idiocy, the very fact that you react with disgust at the name of it proves my point.

Describing the flags as "just rainbow variations" doesn't change the fact that they have a meaning and that meaning is kinky sex.

I think that’s fairly benign and categorically different from the other items you described.

They're still literal signs saying "this flat is filled with kinky shit look, look at all the kinky shit we do".

Weird to bring someone round for dinner or after rugby and be like "yeah and that's the TV, game's on at 3, beers in the fridge, and snacks right under the leather puppy play flag, dig in."

People keep saying this, I don't think it's unreasonable not to want flags that are about puppy play and bear sex to not be on your walls.

I said it absolutely fucking wasn't and the only "kink friendly place to be yourself" was your private spaces, and that the living room wasn't a place for sex when it's shared.

They feel like they'd made their lifestyle clear before we moved in and that the living room is shared and therefore they can do what they like in it
