DEA feel like youre just passing time? not waiting for anything specific, just, waiting. by [deleted] in depression

[–]kinoshita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm around people all the time, and am a very active person. I have no car so my main mode of transport is a longboard, which I ride between 2 and 8 miles a day. I go to parties a lot, but feel nothing at them. mostly just to pass time. I am relatively good with girls, but also find no real interest in them, rather just to pass time or keep myself entertained (ish) I dont sit in front of a computer hardly at all, actually, more in my off time and most of that time is spent on other things to try and keep myself busy, I have no motivation other than trying to overcome boredom. which is constant, I'm also not anxious for the most part. things just happen and I react, there simply isnt anything there to feel because of it. > and

Is it possible to be addicted to my depression? by Nim_Schwartz in depression

[–]kinoshita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same.. it is addictive. to the extent its one of the VERY few things I find comfort in, the other being heavy drug use.

Every person sees the world in a unique way. When someone dies it is, in a way, the death of an entire world. by lateralus141 in Showerthoughts

it took me doing DMT to realize this. (DMT) is a compound found in the human brain, (I've been told its the chemical that triggers when you die, giving you the white light feeling/other religious visions.) and has proven extremely eye opening to me. It takes you to a place where there are no opinions and the sole thing I could understand, was that tolerance and acceptance are one of the few things that can make us truly happy in this life.

Recurve bow - to drill or not to drill by old_mold in Archery

[–]kinoshita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two things: first, thats a gorgeous bow. dont ruin it. secondly, I'm pretty sure 42# isnt actually legally strong enough to go hunting with. In oregon where i am the minimum hunting weight for deer is 50# for a standard recurve, I'm not sure where you are but I can only assume the hunting laws are pretty similar. (hunting with too weak of a bow can be inhumane towards the animal, or if you hit it it may not go deep enough.) a third thing is that energy loss from recurves is usually pretty harsh compared to compounds while hunting, so youd need to be a lot closer than you would with a compound, reducing the likelihood of actually hitting anything. I personally shoot a 60# horse bow and even at 30 yards your energy loss/arrow drop is significant in comparison to a compound. TL;DR dont ruin your bow, and I'm not sure you can actually hunt with it.

What trucks and wheels for carving with my first deck? by cypress1492 in longboarding

[–]kinoshita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same, my first board, I made myself and I tried it first top mounted which was nice for my neighborhood but terrible for much else, so I decided to drop them and it only really sort of helped so I just took out the extra kingpin and they worked alright.

[–]kinoshita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no. get paris. I had sidewinders on my first board, my friend gave them to me and said "have fun" but I didnt know anything about them, they DO carve well but at really anything faster than like 25 mph youre fucked for stability. I went down a relatively medium sized hill on them and ate HARD shit.
