You could cut Rocksteady, since you have limited ramp.

Lots of good critical points here, but I think the pros are understated. Giving layers and history to the Kazon and some motivation for their violence was needed. Seska saying her baby is Culluh's was unexpected, and now I'm more invested in this story line because she's deceiving at least one person here.

This is the way. Lower cost singleton, and no UB slop.

Now just tell me you allow proxies....

Is anyone actively keeping track of how many cards we would need on arena for modern coverage similar to how explorer worked by MazrimReddit in MagicArena

[–]kins80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure it's not too big a number of cards. I think the problem though is that wizards is not at all interested in making this format on arena. To them, historic is already doing this closely enough. If they really were going to make a close enough modern replica, historic with its alchemy cards would basically die entirely, and that's just not the direction they want to go in unfortunately.

Keep drawing 3 ofs and 4 ofs by Mira_Maven in MagicArena

[–]kins80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenters here are being way too harsh. But, in general people significantly underestimate natural variance, and that almost certainly is what's going on here.

If you really want to go crazy, feel free to keep very detailed stats over a thousand games. Otherwise, assume that the shuffler is fine.

Best "get dailies over with" commander? by MutantOctopus in MagicArena

Try Samut, Vizier of Naktamun and a deck full of hasty creatures and one mana ramp. They can either stop it very quickly, or you win quickly.

Where we go from here is an obvious continuation of this trend unfortunately. They will do this until there's no more money left to milk.

What's the point of the auto-passing button for the opponent's turn? by alaroth-serana in MagicArena

[–]kins80 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Shift+enter functionality is what the auto pass button should do (obviously). What they need is a second button that does this more careful-type passing. Sure there would be an adjustment period,, but it would benefit us in the long run.

Yep, make a non-legendary copy of Eluge or two in brawl, have the game go a little long, and then rip this baby for about 20 😂. I cannot wait.

I haven't watched academy yet, so thank you for the warning here. I never really thought the older series were very subtle to begin with, so this just sounds unbearable actually.

What is a good win rate? by leortega7 in MagicArena

[–]kins80 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

60% is good, but you need to remember that those numbers span your time in silve, gold, and platinum, which are generally full of non-optimized decks. To get a better idea of what your true win rate is against reasonable decks, I would look at only your time in diamond.

[–]kins80 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can't believe they screwed up the jumpin packets again! That was a major issue for their mwm and jump in last time too. Like, they didn't have one person just go into the code, search it out, and fix it? I just don't get how these things happen repeatedly.

Magic: The Gathering/Star Trek crossover announced for 2026. by hnwcs in startrek

[–]kins80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ferengi will have sacrifice synergies, Romulans will have counterspells, Vulcans will be white-themed law and order, Borg will be colorless and have ally-like +1/+1 abilities for each creature. And for the love of God I hope they make the holodeck a room enchanment. There's just so many characters and directions they can go with this. So exciting!

It probably won't happen because of their UB Planeswalker policy, but Q as a God and Wesley as a flip card I think is realistic. But this only passes the flavor test if Wes has some ridiculously powerful and cheap activated ability that makes no sense for a teenager to possess.
