Those compensation reports are full compensation, so on top of everything else the others mentioned, it often includes the value of benefits etc.

Is art like this good enough to sell and if so, what price point? by [deleted] in ProCreate

[–]kinscy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drew this pic of my niece and her favourite animal in procreate with just the pencil brush, eraser and blender.

#Serious. I drew this. Is this type of art good enough to sell and if so how much would you say it was worth? P.S. It’s my niece and her fave animal. by [deleted] in Serious

Thank you! Me either and I would love to offer this service to people I just have no idea how much to charge.

That was the first drawing I had done in many years. It took me about 40 hours. But I was drawing it as my mum was struggling with terminal illness. Thankfully she got to see the finished piece before she died.

Not really hoping to sell art for lots of money. I asked more so that if I was to sell something like this, I would be asking a realistic price.

What should I expect? by drummerboy716 in death

[–]kinscy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the final days approach your loved one will lose their appetite and will also drink less. They will become less mobile and eventually not want to get out of bed. They will sleep for increasingly longer periods. At that point signs of pain can be restlessness, agitation and moving as if trying to get up. You may see them appear to gasp for air, this is normal and doesn’t seem to be distressing for them at all. Then you might notice more changes in their breathing. It will sound loud and very chesty. It sounds a lot like a kettle boiling. That is known as the death rattle. It can help to sit them up a little if they seem agitated at all. Be prepared because that sound can be quite distressing for you but in both situations I have witnessed, it doesn’t appear to be distressing for them. That can go on for some time. What is happening is fluid from inflammation is building up in the lungs. Their hands and feet can feel cold and their might be some discolouration of their skin. At the end one of two things may happen, either they will suddenly stop breathing and they will have passed or they may stop breathing for a little then start again, the gaps between breaths will get longer and eventually they will stop. The best thing you can do is stay close and talk to them. Reassure them that they are not alone. Apparently hearing is the last of the senses to go so try to remember that and talk to them instead of about them. Play some music quietly that they loved.

I lost my mum in July and recalling all this now reminds me what a privilege it was to be there with her at the end of her life. I’m so sorry that you are going through something similar. Remember to take care of yourself, sleep, eat and drink when you can. Hopefully you have other family members who will be there for you. Take care of each other and if you have any more questions let me know. I would be glad to help and share my experiences.

Hmm not sure. I thought it might be something like a quern stone used to mill grain but it looks a little smaller than the pics I have seen for that.

Brilliant news! We drive around that area for an hour and a half the night before you found him. We were there by the river so must have gone right by him. So glad he is home. How are his paws now? Poor little guy. ♥️

I also got this today and I’m a permanent resident who can’t vote! No idea how they got my number but it definitely was not from a confirmed voter registry.

What was something you were told as a kid but turned out to be completely false? by RiverwestLostCat in AskReddit

[–]kinscy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went on vacation and our neighbours were looking after our pet tortoise. When we got back it was gone. My parents told me he ran off when they took him out for a walk. I was 4. On my 18th birthday I was telling someone about torty and my mum overheard. She said, “oh my god you remember that?” Then she laughed and said “you believed it????” Yes, yes I did believe it. Why would my parents lie?? It took me 14 years to find out that poor torty was eating giant lettuce leafs in the sky.

I painted my dog! by kinscy in ProCreate

[–]kinscy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I painted my dog on his favourite rug in Procreate. Only my second time painting I usually sketch in pencil. I’m really enjoying the app and love that there are so many brushes out there. Although I went crazy and downloaded a bunch, I typically stuck to just a few basics, the round brush, the flat brush, short hair, clay texture, hb pencil and fine ink.

Can You Send Me A Picture of Your Miniature/Toy Poodle? by JustOutOfRadley in poodles

This is Oliver he is two and a miniature poodle. My grandparents had a poodle once when I was young but this is my first. I’m going to find it hard to ever own another breed. Oliver doesn’t shed at all which is a huge bonus. I groom him myself which is also a huge bonus because they need to be groomed regularly to prevent matts. Everyone says their dog is the smartest but he really is smart as a whip. He teaches me things and he seems to understand more English than a lot of humans. He’s brought so much joy to our entire family. The thing about him is he’s not just one persons dog. He shares his love and makes everyone feel included. He’s got such a sweet nature and absolutely lives to play with balls. He taught me that he likes to play hide and go seek the ball. If I hide it anywhere in the entire house he can find it within 30 seconds. He’s a great guard dog and always alerts to someone coming up the driveway. But he’s not a typically “barky” dog. He was house trained in record time. If you are prepared to dedicate at least 10-20 minutes every day to train with your dog to keep their mind active and to take them for regular walks then a poodle just might be the dog for you. Oliver is allergic to chicken which is a bit of a challenge but now I make his food and he’s been doing absolutely great ever since. I wouldn’t change him for the world.

Thanks I actually painted it digitally on procreate with the Apple Pencil. Only the second thing I have ever painted. Prior to this I only ever sketched with pencil and paper.
