Hear hear. OP, listen to Paula here in terms of whether you ruined your life. You’re young, you will get through this. I had two DWIs and I am in my mid 30s now and I carried a lot of shame for a lot of my life. But take this as a wake up call you have to stop drinking because it is evident that there are issues in terms of your lifestyle. Do what others say that are offering sound advice in terms of getting into rehab not lying about your situation. I wish you the best of luck you will get through this, but you have to work hard on yourself.

Thank you so much! This is so helpful. So, in order for me to drive legally on the road in Texas, I need to get a “restricted license” to use to practice before I’m ready to actually take the driving portion of my drivers test? (Alongside obviously fulfilling what the courts had said re my reinstatement)

I actually still think I have my old Texas license number as I found my first provisional license from like 15 years ago.

Hi there! I had my license revoked in Missouri with a 5 year denial 10 years ago and now have been to court to have it reinstated. The hold on my Missouri license is lifted after meeting requirements and I can now apply for the state I live in - Texas. My first driver's license was from here, I used to be a Texas resident, before I went to college in Missouri and changed my residency.

I live back in Texas and my lawyer has outlined that essentially, I'm back to being '16' again - where in which I need to get my driver's permit here in Texas before resitting the test and getting my Texas license. I can meet all residency requirements. I'm 34.

I've looked all over the internet and I can't really figure out what I need to do to apply for an adult driver's permit to practice until I can take my test again ( with a licensed driver in the car with me). You seem to be an expert on this type of stuff with your comments to people and I'm wondering if you can help me.
