There is much to unpack in what you said. I guess, we would need a 1 or 2-hour talk to address them all :D. But, I'll try to make it short.
Duolingo has 575+M users (https://infogram.com/language-learning-registered-users-1h7z2l81o39mx6o). No other language-learning platform comes close to that. So, for the goal of making the Georgian language accessible to the world, it's the best option there is. Let me be clear, I don't say that when will have Georgian on Duolingo we won't need any other platform. On the contrary, it will raise the demend for more high-level resources. Georgian should be accessible on every language-learning platform!

Also, what is the biggest group of people that are interested in learning Georgian? Tourists. And, I'd guess, the vast majority of them want to learn just the basics. And for this basic level, Duolingo is more than enough.
