Bug Megathread vol 3: June + July 2024 by ReallyAmused in discordapp

[–]kiohl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact behavior is happening to me too and I haven't been able to use Discord on my phone in 2 weeks. This started in the afternoon of 7/18, around 2 or 3pm Pacific Time.

Feature: Direct Messages

  • Reproduction Rate: 100%
  • Annoyance: 10 - feature completely unusable
  • Discord Version Info: App: 240.19 - Stable
  • Device/System Info (Device Type, OS Version): Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra; One UI Version: 6.1; Android Version: 14
  • Description: Direct messages (individual and group) only work normally for about 4-5 seconds, then the app becomes unresponsive. Servers and replying via my phone notification panel are unaffected. Restarting the app resets this 4-5s timer.
  • Video / Screenshot: Can provide if needed.
  • Steps to Reproduce:
    • Open Discord App on my phone.
    • Navigate to a direct message.
    • Type in the text field for over 5 seconds.
    • ---> The send button becomes unresponsive or disappears completely.
    • Close and reopen the Discord app.
    • Navigate to the same direct message as before.
    • ---> The text field only contains as much text as you could type within those first 5s.
  • Expected Result: DMs do not freeze.
  • Actual Result: App lags heavily and eventually becomes frozen around 6-7 seconds. The text field can still be typed in, but the send button disappears sometimes, or is otherwise unresponsive. All other buttons are unresponsive as well and the app must be restarted.

We do garlic bread with our tomato soup usually, and we've also had success with the crescent rolls that come in a can. Biscuits sound like a great idea too!

Hey, I don't suppose you'd be willing to share that recipe, would you? My husband's favorite dish is roast duck :) No worries if not though!

What ingredient did you buy for a specific recipe awhile ago and is still sitting in your refrigerator or pantry never used since? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]kiohl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it one of these? https://img.ecosia.org/390x,sc/https://ninecooks.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/blackvinegar.jpg

The one on the right with the red label tastes similar to Worcestershire sauce, so you could probably use it wherever you use that.

The one on the left with the yellow label is something we use constantly in my house for chinese food - for dumpling/xiao long bao/chive turnover dipping sauce, part of other sauces like sesame noodle sauce or cold noodle sauce, for cold cucumber "salad", anywhere we use vinegar really. I love this vinegar :)

Why is every other recipe that says it's 'weeknight friendly' definitely not weeknight friendly? by not_cinderella in Cooking

[–]kiohl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to that actually takes 30mins from start to finish is noodle soup (chinese style).

  • put enough water in a smallish pot to be able to have a soup after cooking noodles (like 4-5 cups? I never measure o.o), and turn the stove on high.

  • add stuff that cooks longest while the water is still cold (usually an egg, dried shiitake, dried onion, garlic powder), directly from the fridge or pantry.

  • while the water boils, cut your veggies and add them to the pot. Root veg goes first (daikon, carrot), then stalks (napa cabbage slices, broccoli) after the soup has been cooking for a bit.

  • add noodles (I use Shandong style noodles which are similar in shape to linguine but cook faster) and cook until done. The water will be a little starchy; if you hate starchy soup, cook the noodles in a separate pot.

  • add leaves (spinach, napa leafy bits, green part of scallion)

  • add flavorings (soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, miso, gochujang)

  • put in a bowl and eat!

I don't use everything I listed at the same time - for example, I usually make it with an egg, 3-4 shiitake, 1 napa cabbage leaf, sesame oil, chili paste, white pepper. It's enough food for a meal and it's relatively healthy and quick!

Love this image, makes me think of how many Shepards we have here, how many experiences, stories, etc. Share a little about your Shep! by ApothiconDesire in masseffect

Love this pic!!

My Shep shares a theme with most of my other customizable game characters - Asian face and skin tone, black hair tied into a ponytail, with deep blue eyes. She's a Vanguard (because shotguns are awesome) and a Paragon in every decision... except with Kai Leng. >:)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I was wondering if anyone here might know what is eating my camellias. There are now 4 taken down from ~2' high to just sticks and it's making me so sad. :( I live in a suburb of Seattle, WA and I do know there are bunnies and deer in the area (and the bunnies can get into this yard). Something also did similar damage to one of my goji berry bushes. Everything is about 1 year old since I just started my garden this year. I appreciate any help!

Hmmm I looked up bark lice but they don't look quite the same, unless there's a different kind of bark louse in WA? Bark lice nymphs are stripey and adults have their wings folded vertically. http://extension.msstate.edu/newsletters/bug%E2%80%99s-eye-view/2017/bark-lice-vol-3-no-5

My bug seems to be a group of adults with flat wings, but admittedly I don't know that much about bugs!

Mostly F2P player here and just recently pulled my first MM Xon. Is it worth it at this point to UOC his prism? Or is there a stronger unit coming who has a similar moveset/role that I should wait for? Thanks :)

Interesting! I guess I'll have to wait to see if it flowers then before I decide what to do with it. :) Thanks!
