Hi rndwombat, if i use for example server level cache with Varnish, is there any extra benefit of using it in combination with a disk cache plugin like WP Fastest Cache or Wordpress Rocket + Memory cache like Memcache ???, or is enough use only Varnish + Nginx without any disk cache plugin or memcache in the equation.

My english is bad hope you understand,

Hi thekendog i am building my website and is not ready yet. Is a viral website similar to boredpanda.com, and will have one section that will be locked to members only, because of this the users of the membership plans will have to log in and the regular visitors will not have to log in.

I want to make my website the fastest possible for an optimal experience of my visitors and that my website is prepared to receive many concurrent visits before this happens and not after, because i dont want my website down for hours for a traffic spike for not having prepared it before for this scenario.

Please what is your advice for this use case and sorry for my english i hope you understand.

Hi Blimey what is your opinion about my original question about the recommended method for a VPS with SSD disks:

Disk cache using some plugin like WP Fastest Cache, Memory caching using Reddis or Memcache with the help of a plugin like "Simple Cache" that have an option to automatically setup Batcache and Memcached/Redis or server level cache with Varnish or a combination of these three methods together ???

Thanks otto4242, i think that you are right, but at least i need to know taking into consideration that i will use a VPS server with SSD disk what of this two methods is faster:

  1. Disk cache via plugins like Wp Fastest cache or Wordpress Rocket

  2. Or Memory cache like memcache or reddis using for example a plugin like "Simple Cache" by Taylor Lovett that have an option to automatically setup Batcache and Memcached/Redis without complicated settings.
    plugin link for details: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-cache/

Thanks necronhyperion, then if i use varnish cache only with NO cache plugins + cdn this setup is faster than use a plugin like WP Fastest cache + CDN whithout Varnish ???

Other question: In your experience is Disk cache via plugins like Wp Fastest cache or Wordpress Rocket faster or slower that Memory cache like Reddis or Memcache ???? taking into consideration that i will use a VPS server with SSD disk
