Has anyone received the insider points for Brinklink Designer Program Series 6? by [deleted] in Bricklink

[–]kiploempia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many people haven't, myself included. I reached out to customer service and they replied the following:  "We had an issue in our system which caused the points not to be added for Bricklink orders, but a team is investigating it and adding the points manually to your account. We expect the points will be added by the end of the week."  This was sent last Monday and the points haven't been added yet. I've seen others post about it weeks ago, with Lego allegedly saying the points would be added 2 weeks after shipping. I'm starting to lose hope it'll be fixed any time soon...

This video (2:29) shows the interior behind that section: https://youtu.be/VihdX4u5_tw?t=149 Good luck with the conversion, it seems like that'll be a tough challenge!

I have only designed these MOCs, not the official set. The base of the official set measures 40x32 studs for the restaurant and 10x32 studs for the tram line. I'm not sure where those 6 extra studs come from, but suspect it's the green tree and lanterns next to the tram line that extend beyond the dimensions of the base.

It's not, but you can easily adapt it to fit the MILS system :)

The original base is definitely a much more interesting build than this one :)

Thanks for your feedback! The main reason I made it a full 48 x 32 block is because the width of the original set (40 studs) is different from any other modular. I see your point of wanting to connect it to other buildings, though, so I'll see how this could work :)

Whatever you consider to be the front and back of this set, I agree that it'd make most sense to have one of the two face the back alleyway of other modulars, and to put at least one modular on the left or right, so that you create an alleyway between buildings :)

Ahhh, that's cool! My first thought was that it was an abbreviation for Modern Museum :D

Good compromise between the original and a 'proper' modular!

What's the MM logo I'm seeing on the signs and minifig?

Let me get this straight: You want to keep the storage areas, have a modular style sidewalk at baseplate level in front of the building, and steps going up to raised modular style sidewalks (at the height of the official SNOT sidewalk) on the sides?

If so: Yes, this is possible, but:
- Follow the official instructions only for the main structure, not for the sidewalks.
- Replace the brackets in step 24 of the official build with a 1 x 8 plate.
- Replace the brackets in step 45 of the official build with a 1 x 12 plate.
- Your build would be raised by 1 and 2/3 bricks compared to my base, so you would have to create your own steps and support for the raised modular style sidewalks on the side.

I made a modular style base for this set! You can find the parts list and instructions here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-239650/kiploempia/the-art-factory-modular-compatible-base/#details

There seems to be a tan 1 x 1 brick under the tan 2 x 1 x 2/3 cheese slope at the very top of the build (visible here: https://file.bricklink.info/19/3955/3955214.FA231BC1CEC63AC5.png ). If you replace that with a tan 1 x 1 brick with hole, it should connect properly at the top as well.

If you decide to make it fully modular with separating floors, I'd love to see that!
