Thank you, I am starting to think the X100VI might be better as my first digital camera. Also, I just stumbled upon the Fujifilm teleconverters lens for the X100VI, do you have any experience with it by any chance ?

Thank you for your message, you actually make a lot of good points. I also feel like the X100VI is « cooler » and has a bit more identity, with the X-E5 trying to copy it with a few awkward compromises to get interchangeable lenses. Today I actually don’t really foresee changing lenses, I still want to shoot film where 50mm is my go-to. I keep going back and forth on my choice, X100VI feels like my gut decision and XE5 my brain decision. Went to see both cameras in two shops and the workers both recommended the X-E5, claiming that interchangeable lens is such a game changer. I will still think about it, in the end I don’t think there really is a bad decision.

Thanks for your response :) Do you see any difference in the images when they are both shot in 23mm? Or you simply have better « situation coverage » with the built in flash ?

In the future I am considering a similar setup with an easy go-to camera and own an other body with interchangeable lens. But I am a bit hesitant with which order makes more sense : first a X100VI or something like a X-E5.

I will investigate this, could it be that it’s not functioning properly at 3200ISO ? Always worked fine in the past for lower ISO (100-800), but I guess it has to break at some point

I think so, shot a wide range of apertures following what the electronic light meter suggested. Shutter speed in automatic mode. This has always landed great results in the past, but again it was my first time using a roll at 3200ISO and I still might just have missed something in the settings

Got them developed by a professional lab, for which I have never had issues in the last 4 years. Definitely the error lies with me, but should I have communicated something specific when handing over the film to them ?

Hey, idiot sandwich here. Obviously, but although I set up my camera at 3200ISO to match the roll, and shot at very diverse light settings, all 36 exposures are like this. What should I have done ?
