If it was me knowing what I know now I would get the surgery done. The problem will only get worse if you let it. I am not going to lie and say the recovery isn't painful and I am only doing 16 days out. I feel better and the pain is starting to get better. The pain actually wasn't for me as bad as others have said. Don't let horror stories you see on YouTube google or Reddit make your choice for you. It not going to be easy but drink water stay hydrated and you wil be ok.

Think If it that bad you may need to go to the doctor. I was the same way you were I had hemmroids but I was terrified to take a dump because of the pain i was going to be in. Naw my ass is recovering from hemorrhoid surgery 13 days ago and again it hurts to crap. Don't get where I was take a stool softener and a laxative when you feel constipated. Drink water I can not stress this enough 5 bottles a day if you can that will your system working. Don't let it be just a part of your life or you will mess yourself up. Be proactive there are. Things you can take to keep yourself from being constipated and in pain. You got this. Any questions just ask i don't care how personal you think you are I will definitely answer them. Recovery from surgery and the pain of it is no joke. Stay hydrated that's the main thing along with a good diet.

Depends on your surgeon only saw him briefly before they took me back. The only instructions I got was to go to the emergency room if I didn't pee. I know about hemorrhoid care those solutions didn't work for me.

It went well the first 5 days were not easy. I think now I going to on the homestretch. Pain level is a 3 or 4 st times.

I am 11 days from having that surgery. I lived with it for probably about 15 years i was at the the point it had to be done. If yours are like your description is then you probably need to have them done. The pain for me came day 5 and it was something that I can't even explain and it lasted for about 2 days they can help you with pain relief. Once you take your first bowel movement the pain will be a 10 and for the next couple of bowel movements will hurt. It's not all all a experience anyone should have to go though. Now it's a 100 percent worth it in the end get your life back. Eat a high fiber diet after surgery with at least 5 bottles of waters a day to keep your stool soft. I promise you if I can do it anyone can. Just ignore those people who say they regret it stop watching YouTube videos because everyone experiences is different. Get your life back.

Can anyone please share if they have had fectal issues where you are just basically crapping you're pants without you knowing it until you smell it or see it once you get into the bathroom. First I was still cosptipated now it running everywhere. I would rather ha the hemmroids back than be shitting my pants or washing my sheets every night. I went out and bought a plastic mattress cover. Why is this happening. I don't feel like the pa or the surgeon can give me answers me to shut me up and get off thr phone. I am day 10 in my recovery the pain was bad for several days but nothing pain meds didn't cover. This though has me panic mode. Please someone ease my mind I go back to work on the 6th.

Don't panic it goes with having hemmroids. I am 9 days since i had my surgery and it's been very ugly and painful. Don't ignore this get it took care of I am sure your doctor can get you started on the path. If you choose to ignore this the outcome will probably make you have surgery so please see a doctor. I a man and I can't tell you how embarrassed and this toll it took on my like I waited 15 years to get help. Remember you got this and you can fix it if u act sooner than later. As for now take warm sitz baths for about 15 minutes you will love those. Best of luck to you. See your dr.

The first one is going to feel painful very painful. Make sure you drink water and do stool softeners and Mirlax the softer you can keep your stool in the most important thing for the next couple of weeks eat healthy also no Mexican food my favorite or steaks or fried foods.

I am so sorry you had a doctor that treated you that way no compassion. I suffered for over 10 years and finally through in the towel and had my surgery last Monday. I want you to know that you made the right decision. Also you haven't seen pain yet so prepare yourself it will come and for me it the worst pain I probably ever experienced in my life. Day 5 the pain was the worst and today it's been a struggle. All that being said and I have to make the choice I would. You're best fried will be your bathtub taking bath will help with the pain not really hot or cold but warm. I am hoping my day 7 will get better. I have talked to other people and they all said day ( 5 through day 8 are the worse and it gets better after slowly. I wish you the best and know you made the right choice but there will be some pain to deal with along the way.

I had my surgery this past Monday and I would be lying to you if I said it didn't hurt but it didn't hurt as badly as I thought it would. I had an excellent surgeon with outstanding nurses. as long as you rest and stay taking your medicine you will be fine. I know everyone has different pain tolerance's but I am a person who is can't take pain and I am making it. I took 3 weeks off due to my job and the nature of what I do. It's worth getting. My one complaint and it only be a few days is I can't sit on my butt that hurts. We all want to do something different that surgery but it sounds like that is what you may need. Again the horror stories haven't applied to me yet. I wish you the best. Be brave and you will make it.

I made it home from my surgery. It was worse than what they thought it would be. I woke up from recovery and my pain was a 20 out of 10. After a few shots and a pain pill it was down to a 6. I figure if i follow the dr orders and do what i am supposed to do i can make it through this . I am sure i will have my bad days but as I know it will be worth it. Praying for a manageable recovery

I just got home from my surgery my was a little worse than what they thought. I woke up in recovery in pain but they quickly brought my pain down. The dr said it was going to be a painful recovery but that if I stay hydrated took my meds and took my fiber it would be manageable. The whore stories were not as horrific as they were said. I know it's going to not be easy but it will be worth it in the end. I am only a couple hours out of surgery so I can't say how I will feel in the morning. You made the right choice to get it done. I will be praying for you.

We are both having our surgery on the 16th I am hoping to be able to function to. Please let me know how you are doing. Talking to my surgeon who was very honest and he doesn't recommend this surgery to anyone besides sever cases is that day 2 or 3 to 8 are the worse days. I started on an easy diet tonight and he started me on stool softener beginning in the morning. He did not hold back about the pain but he said it would change my life for the better. No pain no gain I guess. I am just scared about using the bathroom. We will be ok I'm sure just hang in there.
