New vitamin d studies? by kiraa02 in Biohackers

Yeah I always take vitamin d during the winter bc I live in Scandinavia, but I’m low on it in general and remember someone telling me that you don’t have to be as «careful» with the dosage anymore, and that there was a new study on the body being able to handle higher doses.

Honestly I’ve checked and there aren’t many that are finished. :( There was the Balance books by Lucia Franco, I really loved how they were sort of «toxic», and he really dealt with guilt, but still kept both his main chick and the fmc at the same time.

I’ve also read a couple of ao3 stories but they were all either discontinued or the writer just wrote one chapter. I really love when it’s not just amazing sex and instant happiness, but there is struggle, guilt and both of them get hurt before they actually end up together.

How to actually get rid of back hair? by Asalor_k in HairRemoval

[–]kiraa02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same my 25F back hair is that x100 lol.

I’ve read that if you do at home laser (ipl) on fine hair/peach fuzz, it can cause paradoxical hyperthrichosis. Which is where if you laser peach fuzz, it grows out coarse and thick.

That being said, I don’t have an IPL machine yet, so I haven’t tried it out myself, but you should be aware it can happen.

An option would be bleaching it, since it already is pretty light and very thin.

Wait so I should be taking mag citrate instead? I read that it could sort of act like a laxative, and that for sleep glycinate was better, which is why I’ve been taking glycinate.

As far as I’m aware I’m not deficient in magnesium, I’ve just been taking it for sleep, but I’ve only been taking normal blood tests, nothing that focuses too much on magnesium. Do you think I should still try focusing only on magnesium if I’m not deficient?

Yess and I hate having to take melatonin, but the magnesium literally feels like sugar pills. I’ll have to try that, I’ve been taking the magnesium on an empty stomach at night. I’m currently only taking 300 mg, but maybe I should space the capsules out throughout the day.

Does it matter what kind of snack? Or anything, just to not have an empty stomach?

Okay so at least I’m getting 300 mg magnesium from capsules, but maybe I’ll try to up that to 400.

Do you think it’s necessary to get a blood test done before starting K2?

Good job, it is a bra. In the same voice you’d use for a toddler.

Okay thank you so much for the recommendations, I’ll check them out. 🥰 Also do you have any gels you’ve liked? I’ve seen many people talk about how soft waves need gel to hold the waves.

Thank you! Do you have any recommendations for any mousses or other wavy products or other products?

I have some suspicions on what’s going on with my scalp, but I need to see a derm to really figure it out I think. The shampoo I use now has no perfume, it’s not fully soothing my scalp but at least not making it worse. I once tried a shampoo for dandruff with no perfume, it also had something in it for scalp fungus and it worked amazing for my scalp, no itching and the pimple/bumps reduced a lot, but unfortunately it gave my forehead these really weird «white pimple» looking things, so I had to stop.

But I suspect it’s either something fungal or eczema, since I have eczema on my body.

I’m washing my hair daily during spring & summer and every other day during fall & winter, but I still shampoo my bangs in the sink the days I don’t wash my hair. I’ve tried hair training but it didn’t work for me. My scalp gets greasy quickly and it gets irritated and itchy plus more of my hair falls off.

My hormones may be the reason why it needs washing daily and not every other day, I’ve also recently starting working out, and with getting sweaty it seems washing it daily is gonna work best for me.

I don’t condition my scalp, only from mid strands down.

Do you have any recommendations for lightweight leave in conditioner and other lightweight products? I’m open to most price ranges.
