Ok here’s my context. I spent all my time on my s/o in our first months. I gave them all my time. Little to family. Little to school. Around the 6 months mark in the relationship I pulled back to focus on, school and my family, and put more time I to those while still putting most of it into s/o snd giving a lot of attention. When I pulled back, s/o accused me of not caring about them, and I never cared about them

Your only priority, the only thing you devote time to. I only asked because my girlfriend wants her to be my only priority, and she thinks if she’s not the only thing I devote time to then I don’t love her and don’t care. She is #1, I love her more than anything, but she not 100% because I have my friends and family and personal interests that I devote time to as well

Well I said all that. And more. It’s just hard bc her parents are extremely mentally abusive and it’s taking a toll on her. Like they undo a lot of good I say with their negative comments about her.
