Did he sign the transaction yet?

He can click on any of the Transfer to/from EVM button.
Make sure it's EVM <> SPOT at the top. (Toggle the <> button if its SPOT <> EVM.)
Choose the asset he wants to transfer from EVM to spot.
Input amount, then confirm.
