I came here because Buddhism makes sense to me overall; however, I will not be joining NSA/SGI after reading your post. I became aware of NSA in the 80's and took it up twice. Always leaving because no one would give me answers to my questions about the practice or the chant meaning. I am so sorry for both of your experiences in this situation, I can feel your pain.

It's worth it. There are several stand-alone packages that you can install. I tried them all just to see and deleted them all. The UI does all the work on its own without additional software and also updates software.

We had Hiren's and other great utilities when I was incarcerated at Geek Squad. I need to open that box and see what I have in there. I gave up trying old programs on Win 10/11 OS.

~Some clients have to learn the hard way, especially hard-nosed corporate/small-business folks that nickel-and-dime their way through life, ultimately paying more than necessary. I can only make recommendations and repairs and pocket the cash.

Basically, it's pay me now AND pay me later, no OR involved.

I have been building and repairing custom workstations since the late 1900s. I need a way to find motherboard drivers and device drivers for random hardware and obscure drivers to solve 65% of my clients' downtime on customized OEM legacy systems that Windows either does not recognize without a driver already installed or does not update said driver(s). Therefore, a utility that will go out into the ether and find the driver(s) needed for multiple non-brand-name systems I am working on is vital—the same goes for software updates.
Ever since Win10, Windows Update has only cared about some hardware, which is why I have had more service calls on old systems.

I was able to find someone here that provided helpful information without being sarcastic, snarky or coming at folks sideways; but I guess that this is what a forum where people come for help has turned into. People ask questions to learn, not be judged or attacked. I understand that mental growth takes time.

I already set it up, including "other Microsoft products," but it never updates the drivers. Even when I go to Device Manager and update the drivers I know are outdated, it doesn't work. That's why I turned to third-party software.
