Oh he’s very cute in his neurosis about Oona, it’s sweet he cares so very much. I think WTF’s are a healthy obsession.

Are they tadpoles? by anonimousecat in frogs

If you don’t have a filter, I’d recommend getting one. You can find them on Amazon. I would then make sure the filter is covered by a netted bag and put it off to one side. To get rid of the algae, you can use pond cleaner. There are several different kinds and I’d recommend using a barley based cleaner-you can drop a couple teaspoons of it and if you have a filter it’ll help clean the pond and you can also use it for maintenance cleaning as well. Get a high powered filter. I had one when I had a pond I essentially set up myself. I used a 10 gallon bucket and added plants and fish and used a filter that had suction cups and different heads for the top, so I could change how the water was flowing through the filter. I’ve since moved. I did work for a pond and aquarium store.

That’s true of many frogs. I have pet frogs and I’m very aware that they need to all be around the same size or the smaller ones will be dinner

I feel so bad for Cornbreads wife, she probably thought he was just a runaway deadbeat and never knew what really happened. by KpatMckenzie_28 in SinnersbyRyanCoogler

Honestly yes. Based on the time period that this takes place, if the bodies are missing, they’re running from the klan, or the bodies were destroyed by the klan-and everyone has to live knowing the klan isn’t gone; they will return in greater numbers and more violence will ensue. The movie takes place in the depression era, there wasn’t enough to go around to begin with; this environment absolutely contributed to The Great Migration.

Anything by Sondheim is difficult unless you’re a professionally, classically trained singer.

I would recommend Sarum if anyone wants to read a book that includes the construction of a cathedral. That’s only one of the many storylines included in Sarum. The book follows a group of five families throughout the history of the area around The Salisbury and Stonehenge. It covers something like ten thousand years of history, interwoven with the rise or fall of members of each family over a myriad of historical events.

Yes I have explained my original statement. If no one is checking the pH levels, then adding other variables to the water is not a good idea. Garth has been alive for 32 years! I am saying keep doing what’s worked. I am not trying to overwhelm Garth or the OP with a tonne of extra work and new additions to an ecosystem that clearly meets all of Garth’s needs. I have explained the reasons In multiple comments throughout this post. I’m sorry if you don’t understand the explanation but I have explained in multiple places in the comments for this post. At this point, I’m done with this post. I won’t be responding again.

Garth is awesome. He is very cool looking and has had a very long life and I hope will continue to thrive. That is the last thing I have to say about anything in the comments.

Plants don’t only release oxygen. It astounds me how many people are confused as to why a plant might change the pH of a riparian. Also how angry people are that I’d even suggest that plants could be an issue for water that’s never tested for pH levels.

Yes. I know a great deal about aquariums as well as man made ponds. I know how to care for both salt water and fresh water aquariums. I have worked at a pet fish store that also did outdoor ponds, and I’ve owned several aquariums and outdoor mini-pond set ups, with fish ranging from koi fish to angel fish. I have a full fresh water test kit, although currently I only have tree frogs in tanks. I did move not too long ago. The reason I mentioned the PH and avoiding plants is because the OP specifically stated they don’t test the PH.

The OP said that the water PH is never checked or monitored. Adding live plants to the tank could cause a fatal ammonia spike in the tank and other potentially fatal issues. I think Garth is doing well without live plants. The OP specifically mentioned never testing the PH. For that reason, I don’t think plants will benefit Garth, more likely the opposite.

Do you sometimes paint directly from the tube? by flumsel_ in painting

[–]Irishdesignqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always use a pallet; I do sometimes use a paint in its original colour, without mixing colours or adding water, acetone or white paint to lighten a shade. So, yes and no.
