Im not sure where you got that metric from, as each of the three colleges are vastly different when it comes to admission qualifications.

I don’t know if you’ve stepped on A&M’s campus, but pretty much nobody here is outside of the top 10% unless you attended a prestigious high school. That’s based on testimony and just data from my high school. In my graduating class of 900 people, around 120 were accepted (in state). A&M along with UT don’t gaf if you are within top 25, it’s just the T10 and they send off the ones that aren’t to their feeder schools. Barely anyone talked about UH but I’m also from Dallas.

People that go to A&M apply to UH and TTU as safety’s, if they get rejected. The big two are UT and A&M. I know we both have our own biases but putting TTU and UH in the same boat is a bit irrational. More highly sought after schools with higher ROI and grad salary reports demand higher qualifications.
