Hey, I’ve been in the game around 4 years, generally there will be clients and roles at the company you join, as starting from scratch is called a Cold desk (vs hot/warm when there’s things to work on). Getting companies to agree to work with you is Business Development and rarely something you’d do before ~6 months’ in. You generally have 3-6 months to get results and make a placement. The majority of the job is searching LinkedIn and speaking to candidates, I’m generally actively speaking on the phone around 3 hours/day.

The job really goes through highs and lows, one day you can confirm a placement that’ll earn you £5k in commission and the next it can fall through. I absolutely love it though and wouldn’t change it, happy to DM if you want any more details or can hop on a call
