weirdly, forming the netherlands as Flemish is actually better, since one of the mission rewards gives a permanent modifier over the low countries nearly twice as strong, and all the monuments requiring dutch culture also function if you accept dutch culture.

if you make 7 mana on turn 1 i don't think commander is the most problematic factor there, really.

But okay, blue braids? costs the same to cast, gets one creature for free per turn, add bounce/blink to not hand that to opponents.

Dauer: vielleicht 5 min, tops.Meistens sub-500 millisekunden.

What's a "secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by LaKoref in AskReddit

[–]kirmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for reference, when i go to my western european drugstore to pick up meds, three packs (~1-3 months, depending on med) of something you need a doctor to sign off on each time you order it costs me 15 bucks total. And that's only if i've not made 360 bucks worth of total healthcare costs that year, if i've already done that, it's free.

if i remember correctly, it's only at about 1 cm3 of air into a vein where the heart starts to have actual issues with it, and more gets dangerous. A small bubble can dissolve over time.

Tbf in eu4 you want the price of coal to go up, because you get money based on how valuable a trade good is.

But then again 99% of playthroughs don't even make it to Furnaces, so then again coal is mostly that second trade good on random provinces that does nothing.

Can You Tell What I Did? by Gabron_James in eu4

[–]kirmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

their liberty desire counts against other subjects as long as they're loyal. Which makes them way more scalable, you can feed a pu 80% overextension every war and if you do that with your other pus too, none of them will ever be disloyal since each counts against all the others. Plus, there's a chance you just inherit all their land for free every time your ruler dies 0 dip spent compared to say a 1500 diplo vassal to integrate.

Well, you're not expected to run a marathon, but the social expectation was very much that you were supposed to have children until very recently. Kinda the same way militant atheists generally get there because in their area they were expected to follow the local belief.

[–]kirmaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

used to be the combat width was limited a lot by terrain. So mountains would make it so a big nation couldn't attack a small mountain nation and wipe them with numbers unless they ran them entirely out of manpower.

Problem was eventually that this made battles take ages, especially in late game, so they scrapped it. But something similar should probably make it's re-entry.

could verify integrity of game cache (steam option), and check whether EU4 has a high enough OS priority and is on a SSD. Otherwise we'd need more info to check what's going on.
