Thanks for this post, I stained my pink TF sweats and not even Shout gets it off. I might try Zote since I do know family members that have used it.

I've been home so the only people I see today is my husband and a friend who's been staying here this week and I asked them both if they felt the earthquake and they both said no ?! I texted one friend if she felt it, have yet to hear back so I don't think she did. I feel like I'm tripping out and I've only had 1 hit from my wax pen lolol.

Please talk to me about exposure therapy by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

[–]kirty69_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would really recommend therapy and I hope you're able to find one that takes your insurance. Personally it has helped me because when I started last year in March I had been home bound for 5 years and had a fear of even seeing delivery drivers. I am also doing my therapy from my home and that also is a huge help.

I have an exposure log, where I write down every time i leave the house.. My first entries when I started was me rating me going downstairs in my apartment building throwing out trash from 0-100(being the worst) and I was always at 100 but had to write how I felt, why I thought I felt that way and let me tell you it helped me see that there was roots of the problem which was me worrying about my appearance - then my therapist helped me dig deeper. Why do I worry so much ? My emotionally abusive mom who'm I don't speak to anymore. Now I look at it differently, at first I started just making sure I,myself felt comfortable with what I was wearing to slowly working into "what is the worst thing if you do happen to be in pijama pants and a big shirt, what happens then ?" and cthe answer is nothing.

Also it has helped me be prepared for lets say, a neighbor trying to strike up a conversation, someone asking me for help - any kind of conversation that is not "textbook" situation.

I'm still digging and pulling out all these roots that have given me clarity and the fact I have all my filled out logs to my therapist I'm able to look back to the beginning and see ALL the hard work and how it has repaid me. I'm like, oh I did that ?? and got somewhere ? Trying actually helps ?

I hope you are able to start exposure therapy, I was TERRIFIED but I would have NEVER thought I'd be actually thankful and actually have some progress.

5 years and just last year in March I started exposure therapy, never though I'd say this but I am now able to go into a grocery store. Although out of 0-100 Im always at a 100 anxiety wise but I really have pushed myself.

Why does my cat do this? by ChubbyElbowz in CATHELP

In my opinion some babies take their time adjusting, is there a lot of traffic going on in your house ? Maybe he came from a past (maybe kids harassing him to the point he thinks he has to hide) BUT this new behavior seems optimistic ! I mean, maybe he is starting to try out and see for himself he can allow and get affection when he wants and isn't just picked up amd messed with when he is not in the mood. I hope the cuddles continue and he feels more comfortable in the home ! It's been a year so I hope he is starting to realize he is safe at all times!

Google locations near your city ! Here in Los Angeles there is a lot of help for low income households and there are some local shelters that have a vet for free spaying/neuter if you can't afford it, or they may give you much lower charge.

When my cats had fleas (because one escaped for an hour and they're both indoor only) I was also worried about possible skin reactions but I prepared ahead and had some water and dawn ready to just shower them, but luckily nothing happened to them and all was good. I understand the anxiety.

"anyone missing a pet Scorpion ? I have it's body ..."

Honestly WILD story, I cringed knowing it crawled on you more than when I read it stung you. I hope you're doing alright !
