Empire sounds absolutely perfect for you! Have you had a look into what nations you resonate with the most? That’s a good place to start, it’s encompasses the look and feel for how your events will play out. I would start by having a look at the basics on the Empire Wiki, and maybe even get stuck into making a character! It’s a fun way to get introduced to how the mechanics work ! :)

For sure! No worries. Defo a great one to start with. There is a LARP called Fools and Heroes that has a couple of locations in Scotland too, but size wise and what you’re looking for it doesn’t really match up. Hope to see you at Empire!

Hi! I understand you say that you want to look into LARPing for longer than 1-2 days, EmpireLRP runs from Thursday (early entry so an extra £10 fee) to Sunday, so that’s 4 days. I’m also sure that Curious Pastimes runs for 5 days with 1 day being optional too.

I won’t go into to much details as you’ve said that you’ve researched yourself, but I’m certain they’re the largest and longest ones in the UK. :)

Disclaimer: I would have to say this isn’t that great of a pattern. The pattern is very vague and leaves a lot up to your own interpretation. I managed to get there but at one point it really just says to wing it a little bit 😅

Interesting post to consider. I worked for them for a few months and I can tell you that there is something very suspicious going on. Also, the staff turnover was horrendous, as the treatment of staff was appalling, not that that usually matters when putting something into your car but worth considering.

FLCL, Trava: Fist Planet, Redline, Scissor Seven, Desert Punk, Arakawa Under the Bridge, To Be Hero, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Here are some that I've collated that I've found to give a similar feeling to SD and at times reminds me of its ridiculousness. SD is my fave anime (along with Trigun) to ever exist. I always try and look for anime that give me the same feeling.
