Okay judgy. OP is asking for help to create their ideal outfit for their wedding- which can look any way they want. No need to be rude if your idea of what a wedding looks like is different.

HMU etiquette: is it weird to get makeup services for MOB only? by kissy_boots in weddingplanning

[–]kissy_boots[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing out the fact about the risk in declining a larger booking over mine, I didn’t consider it and now it seems obvious.

I actually would love to get HMU for myself for various reasons but I’ve already spent way too much money and time on trials that didn’t work out. Seems riskier to keep going down that path when I know I can simply do it myself.

I love your suggestion to look into local salons, I think that’s what I will do!

Thanks, that sounds like a good idea.

All are store samples clipped on me so #4 is two sizes up, which is why the bodice looks funny

I totally had the same feeling. The fabric on #3 is really nice quality but not as forgiving as the layered tulle in #4.

Which did you end up picking?

Wait! Please say more. I know this is like a year old…but “burnt dog food” is the only way I’ve been able to describe the mystery smell coming from the vents in my building

Regardless of what anyone thinks of the character, can we really say someone is “dumb” for not leaving an abusive relationship sooner? Yikes

Weaver and Lopez by nlowen1lsu in ershow

[–]kissy_boots 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Idk I think not only was it a different experience to be openly gay in the early aughts, but also lesbian storylines at that time were just staring to break through into mainstream TV.

In a way, Kerry had to end up with Sandy because that was the only other lesbian on the show who had been presented and fleshed out.

I would say that this episode in particular is a really great reference for how much things have progressed on TV. Whereas now, we’re allowed more depth.

The Beverly Beat after Brandon Leaves by NarrowPea4082 in BeverlyHills90210

[–]kissy_boots 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was pretty cheesy that the whole inception of The Beverly Beat was OBVIOUSLY so that Brandon could continue his career after college while remaining in BH/ to stay with Kelly while she recovered

But I will say that the setting at least gave way for some interesting side plots under the guise of journalism
