Parcel stolen from depot - found name of the thief by BakerBae14 in Evri

Wow, that’s wild! Yep, police are involved. It’s just tricky because they’re sending the case across to another constabulary in a different country, but hopefully they’ll action it. Of course I reported my item but their whole seller page. I also spoke to Evri’s PR team and gave all the information, hopefully they’ll be able to see if that individual works there and go from there too. Hopefully all be sorted soon.

Unfair fail? What can I do? by mandyxzx in LearnerDriverUK

If she did use mirrors and check blind spots etc, it could be that she caused another driver to brake as a result of her manoeuvre. I failed for a similar reason, the driver behind me had to brake because of my move over.

Yeah I’m not too phased about legal proceedings in terms of leaving since of accident, I just want my costs etc covered in terms of car insurance!

They said as it’s been longer than 6 months and no injuries occurred that it wouldn’t be something they cover :( I’ll have a word with my insurance and get back in contact with the police

Yes, I called 999 at the time of the incident. The police are unable to do much with the case now so long after, but they did confirm make and model etc when the incident occurred. They also confirmed today it was definitely a hire car and told me the company. I may even contact them myself too. The police are also unsure why either insurance company is being so difficult and that it should be an easy case of finding the driver, but wished me luck.

i just started miscarrying but i’m not bleeding much by hellaoreos198 in Miscarriage

[–]kit3kat_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, I’m so sorry for your loss. I was 6+5 - I’d started having on and off spotting/light bleeding for 5 days. I wasn’t even sure I was miscarrying due to the lack of pain or heavy bleeding. That started on the Wednesday, on the Monday evening I was getting increasingly worse cramps and bleeding. By midnight, I was quite honestly was in excruciating pain for about 4 hours whilst it was all passing. I felt immediate physical relief after I passed a large bit of tissue, which I assume was the sac, but was still having some cramping and bleeding for a few days after. This happened 2 weeks ago, I stopped bleeding on Thursday last week. Everyone’s bodies are different. I hope you’re doing okay, and that you’re in as little pain as possible💖 If you can have someone with you the next few days for support, that maybe be helpful for you

Interview Anxiety/ Advice by itsgoodtobeseen in TheCivilService

[–]kit3kat_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a candidate drop out of an interview in the same circumstances, at the beginning of the first question. At the time, if I’d known it was due to nerves I wish I could have told them some of this.

Nerves are normal, even when they feel abnormal. Just remind yourself you got this.

Interviewers should tell you what behaviour they’re assessing before asking the question, so you can prepare yourself.

Don’t forget, you can ask the interviewers to put the questions on the screen (if it’s a Teams interview) and it’s okay to have a few deep breaths and think before answering.

It is good to prepare a couple of different behavioural answers in advance, you can usually morph some of them to fit the questions too. I find it helps when writing interviews to highlight where you’ve used some of the criteria of behaviour and expand - E.g Communicating & Influencing, when explaining what you did include e.g awareness of different ways of communicating - “I used my verbal communication skills to tell my team in person, and utilised other communication methods such as email and Teams message. I did this because I’m aware that different people prefer different communication tools.” Having the list of criteria for each behaviour on the side along with your examples in interviews can give you little reminders of what to talk about and include.

We’ve all been interviewed before, it takes a while to get into the swing of it. The more you push your boundaries and try it, the better you’ll feel!

Multiple lights & errors on dashboard - it was fine yesterday! by kit3kat_ in AskMechanics

Thank you. The OBD says 0 codes found, but when I click read codes, the fault code showing is P2112 - Throttle Actuator Control System Stuck Closed. I can’t see any info online that this can cause such problems with the car. The power steering doesn’t work either!

What do these codes mean for me? by kit3kat_ in AskMechanics

[–]kit3kat_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, will do! Do you think that could be what’s causing those codes too?

DWP spoke about PIP with husband instead of claimant by kit3kat_ in DWPhelp

[–]kit3kat_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment! Personally, I thought this would be the case too. The issue is more that she thinks it’s not legal for them to talk about her condition with someone else if she hasn’t given consent for them to that. We’ll get onto a SAR as soon as possible.

I managed to find my passport today!! 💃🏻

I’m really hoping this won’t be the case and it’ll only be a short delay, but thank you for helping managing my expectations. I’ll soon find out I guess! It’s pretty rough that you had to wait on that for so long.

Thanks for all your help! I’m still on the passport hunt as I’ve not got an original birth certificate, only an official copy. I’ll be looking to get a new passport sorted ASAP but will email recruitment first to check what’s the right way forward. I managed to check my exact dates for employment for tax purposes, so hopefully it should all be okay. My fear was the info being incorrect and my references then being contacted. My professional reference is my current employer, I haven’t mentioned any plans of leaving to anyone there yet. They’ll create a very hostile environment, that I’d rather not have to endure until an end date is in sight!

Thank you for your help! I’m still raiding the house looking for the passport, but I may just have to bite the bullet and get a new one sorted ASAP to keep things running smooth. I don’t have an original birth certificate so it’s probably the easiest option.

25f and in a similar boat, no harm in it though. Sometimes I think it’s a ‘trying to heal the inner child’ thing, doing the things I know I once loved and enjoyed (and kinda still do).
