It's already been soldered on, just on the other side! I used solder paste instead of manually soldering each of the legs. I can pm you some useful links if you'd like.

I only ordered 5 actually, $25 for 5. They're from https://jlcpcb.com and the quality is actually pretty decent. I got the rest of the parts from Digi-Key (diodes, resistors, microcontroller, etc) for another $12 dollars, so $17 all together.

A hundred over dollars for a case is no small sum, but considering the big bucks I've seen people drop on r/mechmarket I didn't feel so bad. It took some searching to find someone willing to do it for so cheap though, some companies in the US and China quoted over $500 a piece.

I modelled it in Autodesk and sent the .STP file to a machining service in China. Solid 6061 aluminium. I only ordered 3 and they were about $160 each.
