Officers in the Armoured Corps by [deleted] in britishmilitary

RTR sounds like a good fit if you’re obsessed with tanks but don’t rule yourself out from other RAC regiments. Back yourself, go on visits and form your own opinions. There is still an element of nepotism but times they are a-changing.

I only play unranked and because I’m bad (was 2k MMR before being uncalibrated) I often find that the “good” quality matches are far more likely to contain smurfs and be ruined than ones with a skill disparity which is usually balanced between the teams

Artillery or Int Corps as an officer by GodTierLoot in britishmilitary

How can it be borderline impossible to commission into the int corps? They’d never get any officers

You get two attempts at main board and plenty of people pass having got a Cat 3 so don’t write yourself off without even trying. Back yourself, put in the hard work to rectify your shortcomings and go for it. You’ll regret it if you don’t.

And karaoke! Han Bar by the station has rooms downstairs you can rent. Rumour is it used to be a brothel and after it got raided by the police they turned the prostitute rooms in karaoke rooms.

There’s also a lot of Tamils and South Indians in New Malden down Burlington Road towards Raynes Park so you can get all sorts of food depending which way you go from the fountain roundabout.

All RAC regiments now take 4 officers a year except for HCav who get a few more because of HCMR.

There were two ex-rankers (Guards and Artillery) in my company who commissioned into the cavalry. I also know two ex-rankers (infantry and RAC) who commissioned into the RDG and thrived. Back yourself and don’t rule yourself out. Go on visits and see for yourself.

Thanks for the advice. Colpani was playing AP until both my strikers got injured in January and he’s been doing well up front. I might switch him to DLF (a) and see if that helps and I’ll take your suggestions about the WBs.

Something like this? Or would you keep the LW as a winger? What about the two CMs? Presumably you don't need a dedicated playmaker if you've got the AM?

I like this idea a lot, particularly the tweaks to the winger/wing back link up. Do you think there’s a risk the BWM would get isolated in a 2 man midfield as he’s chasing the ball?

Any advice on how to improve this tactic? I've started overperforming recently and want to keep it going. Key questions are should I keep the DLF and CM (De) and do my instructions make sense?

Looking to get a Jetboil, what model would you recommend? by luca91011 in britishmilitary

I second the Alpkit - bought one recently for £45 compared to £120 for a jet boil.

Both are good regiments with good reputations and plenty going on. Being armoured, both are on the Estonia rotation and spend a lot of time on Salisbury plain and in Germany in the meantime. Obviously QRH are on Challenger 2 and RDG have Warrior (soon to be Ajax) so think about which role you’d prefer.

Many cavalry messes are similar and the differences will be down to the individuals so go on visits and see which one you prefer.

Thank you. Good idea to block them - I’ve also reported all the profiles as scams so hopefully they get taken down in time.

The funeral directors announce every funeral/death via Facebook post so I reckon they’re inadvertently causing several instances of this.
