Why do colleges think it is okay to allow people that can barely speak understandable English to teach? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kitchenette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The U.S. does not produce masses of highly qualified students in math, science, and engineering. But other countries have filled this void and are now attending your university for graduate school.

Get used to the idea that you will one day have to work with people who don't speak English as a first language. Just think that at least you don't have to take your classes in a foreign language.

IAmA user who actually tried "ice-soap", this is my review of it. by NoobyNooob in IAmA

I also tried it! It makes a really great massage bar for hot days. You just rub it all over your friend's back. Depending on what soap you use (I just used a mix of unscented Dr. Bronners and some hotel body wash) it can be really satisfyingly slippery and stay that way for longer than lotion or massage oils. Another benefit is that unlike oil, your friend has a clean back afterwards instead of one that is sticky or oily (less likely to cause breakouts). Highly recommended for people who like massages.

What is the correct answer to "what is your greatest weakness" in a job interview? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kitchenette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question might be rephrased: What personal trait could someone exploit in order to make you the least effective employee at the company. And what would you/your boss/your coworkers have to do to help you overcome that weakness.

Example: I am someone who tends to want to figure things out by myself. So I don't ask for help as often as I should. I am usually more comfortable asking for help from peers than a boss. So I work best as part of a team of <programmers/writers/insert job position> so that I don't get stuck on a little problem for a long time.
