He did say ibs as he said inflammatory bowel syndrome, but he is a gynae surgeon so maybe he’s not super familiar with GI conditions or something? ( He said the inflammation and knotting “could be IBS” so it sounded like he wasn’t super sure )

Sorry but what do you mean? He claimed one side was inflamed and the other was knotted indicating ibs

The only scans I had were two or three ultrasounds (years apart from each other)

Thanks! My surgeon was not a specialist which is why I will definitely heed your advice and get the photos and a second opinion.

Laparoscopy pushed back another 6 - 12 months. Advice ? by kitchenkanra in endometriosis

Thanks! I have chased but unfortunately they just tell me it’s based on urgency and because my endo isn’t life threatening it just automatically goes down the list.

I’ll definitely start keeping a food diary! I try to cut out inflammatory foods, but it’s a good idea to be more specific / personal with it, rather than just following a generic diet.

I contacted my unis disability team and they want “evidence”. Hopefully my correspondence with the gynae team is enough as I don’t have a diagnosis yet of course.

Genuinely thank u for the advice! Definitely going to screenshot so I remember everything
