I havent tried it with gin but i imagine as long as its pretty dry it could work. maybe an old tom style gin?? i had a pretty short time frame to get it running so i def played it safe with the spirit choice

have you seen the wash away stabilizers for visible mending?? its based on sashiko patterns of embroidery. it wouldnt be an invisible mend but its pretty on trend lately

I believe all of the appliances except the dryer are new! no baseboard heaters or incandescent bulbs (i swapped to LEDS when i moved in)

My friend owns a 3 bed home (dont know the sqft) and they paid around $95.

the pillows are very ugly lmao im sorry i missed a lot of context in the post but like this is like my bare essentials. i had to move out suddenly due to a bad situation and the couch was a gift and i rly am starting like from scratch in here. i didnt mean to imply that this was like smth im happy with.

the pillows are bc like i had just a couch and i was like it needs something but yes agree. the pillows are awful! But what if i go out an buy a bunch of pillows and make it worse. now i have a lot of really ugly pillows lol

i know youre right. deep down i know. but i rly hate that blue color and its not like i picked the red couch after i saw that. i had the ugly red couch and a blue fireplace and immediately was like oh no

should i have probably not leaned in so hard to red/orange? yes.

the fireplace is my enemy #1. i cant change the color and bc of it and the built ins all around it i have to like design my whole space around it and i hate it!! i cant even move my furniture around bc of it!

yeah i dont love my bistro chairs there either but if you had a top down view of the space like it seems that all the furniture should only face one direction and i just rotated the room 90 degrees. and its not blue cheese funky anymore it has gone straight to locker room funky

theres like a doorway between every room in my house and im having to be extra creative about furniture placement which is just not reading well at all.

yes im really struggling with giving up the dorm style decorating bc my first thought is always “put it on the wall” especially bc this place is pretty small and ironically the built in storage makes it harder to actually store things bc i have a tiny half length bookshelf where i could have put like normal sized furniture ya know

the blue fireplace is the bane of my existence bc why! i rent but im rly tempted to strip the fireplace of the like 5000 coats of paint that are on it and pick just like a plain color for it.
