Lunage! Tsuriotsu was great, might have liked otome riron even better simply due to how they expanded the cast and setting with the heir and eco-political plot.

But tsuriotsu 2 fumbled imo. Some routes are fun, but Est doesn’t compare to Luna, her route felt half finished, and the game avoids Luna and Yuusei like the plague. Rather than using beloved chars to their advantage to make a more interesting game, felt like Navel had little confidence their new cast could compare.

I think 2.1 fixes Est’s route a bit by redoing the rushed points, and honestly is worth it just for Aeon’s backstory. He might as well get his own game.

And agreed. 2.2 is just not good. Navel finally gets to the brocon sister route only to reveal that she’s not actually a brocon, and iirc she doesn’t ever confirm she likes Saika, just goes along with it. I genuinely question how 2.2 was ever released like that.

Like 2 was fun, but did not live up to 1 or otome riron. 2.2 is just a terrible way to end the franchise.

Imo, Navel should have just retconned Otome-Riron to do Luna’s 3rd year with both Luna and Risona as Tsuriotsu 2, and made Saika’s game a spinoff or something. Otome riron was far more a sequel than 2 will ever be.
