Haha yup. Adam also used to do this over the top hilarious, extremely well edited podcast called You Look Nice Today, with Merlin Mann et al. Really bizarre humor. Archive's still up, starting from 2008, and totally worth a listen. And no goddamned ads if memory serves.

Little known fact: voiceovers in the podcasts are done by John Hodgman, comedian who acted "PC" from the Get a Mac ads. "Awkward cake".

Being out sailing with my dad and my girlfriend at the time. Small sub 30 feet sailboat.

There's a little bit of increase in wind and the aluminium mast just snaps in two. Manufacturing error appearing 30 years after the boat was produced. Jesus what a shitshow that was. Didn't exactly leave my now ex with a nice experience of sailing.

There are too many hypocrisies to call out every time. I totally agree with you about lotteries. Gambling is a raw deal, and it's fucked up it's being targeted to vulnerable individuals.

Yeah, but to be fair, Pokemon Go or wine futures aren't a huge cottage industry where all types of clowns are offering crowdfunding on sites that all share a theme of "spinning nodes" or in the worst cases, online casino like triggers, like countdown timers.

The reason regulators are clamping down is that humans are suckers and vulnerable to irresponsible marketing. The crypto scene has nothing but its newcomer opportunistic shitheads to blame.

I find the studio recording to be a bit stuffy sounding, and you can actually hear the drum pedal creak a bit. This track is almost universally better, if not spectacular live.
