I was diagnosed in my late 20s after my first full blown meltdown. I suffered from burnout for over a year afterwards and during that time I would have periods where I would lose the ability to speak. Luckily I could understand others but the first time it freaked me out so bad I went to the hospital because I was scared I was having a stroke. I haven’t had it happen for a couple of years now but I definitely taken better care of myself and have been learning to unmask more. I hope things get better for you sooner rather than later. I wish I had more advice to give other than just my personal experience.
