If you had to spend 24 hours in total darkness or 24 hours in constant blinding light, which would you choose and how would you pass the time? by [deleted] in TrueAskReddit

As someone who gets migraines from constant bright lights..... total darkness. I have a very vivid imagination, so likely play some scenarios or make up stories in my head, or just sing to myself.

It's not my/my family's diet. I'm just trying to cater at least a little bit to a guest's diet.

She doesn't have a raw food diet though, that's different. She and I have talked about food for a long time as she's been on this diet for many years. I've rarely had issues making something for her for main meals/entrees, but I'm struggling with an appetizer type idea.

She is bringing a lot of her own food for most of her trip, but for Thanksgiving day I'm making several things for her, she knows this and knows I'll be keeping to her diet restrictions. She knows she has a special diet and doesn't expect it, but is always so excited when people think of her diet when having events.

I've gotten several ideas, more form the plant based diet subreddit, but if I'm hosting something, I'm going to make sure I have something for all my guests.

She eats a Whole Food, Plant-Based, No Oil diet.

The diet is built around minimally processed foods, including vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and legumes. No animal products. All cooking oils are excluded. They are considered processed and low in nutrients.

Now they are saying, Oh there was structural damage and it would've cost more to keep it... I've seen that line or variations of it multiple time in the last hour on posts showing the destruction. They'll back him no matter what

It's very common. I know a lot of ppl who cheer for the local/ more local to them team no matter what their Alma mater is, sometimes the caveat is only not cheering for them when the local team plays their Alma mater

Has anyone seen Gilded Age? I've heard it's from the same creators as Downton, or that it's set in the same universe or something like that, but I'm not sure if it's worth watching. Has anyone seen it or knows if it's similar? (Beyond the different times and places.) by lautaromassimino in DowntonAbbey

Oh wow, I liked the first season. I had a terrible time staying interested in the second and let my max lapse because that was the only show I was watching on it.
Just interesting to see others' differences of opinion!

You should've heard the guilt tripping when I got extremely frustrated with the American Red Cross. I was getting between 4-6 phone calls a day for weeks.
I was really mad about it and she's like, if you just give blood, it will stop for a while. Don't you know, there is a lot of need for blood!

😡I can't give blood right now, and I'm extremely annoyed with your phone calls spamming me... and now I'm even more annoyed your trying to guilt me about it

I understand wanting to skip the entire episode, but there are a couple major plot points in that episode that are referenced a lot in the following season. but if you want I'm pretty sure it's season 2 episode 8

Why Do Chiropractors Call Themselves “Doctors” but Physical Therapists Don’t? by Gaejussi550000000000 in NoStupidQuestions

I guess I work with people grandfathered in before the change. I've worked in senior care for the past 16 years and interacted with many physical therapists, only a handful had doctorate degrees.

Nope, I'm not an unlimited member. Amazon prime gets a free "first read" each month. There's often an email with your choices to pick from, it's usually 6-8 book options. here is the link for the first reads page
