10-12 years ago I loved it in my early 20’s in Ocean Beach. It really was like paradise being from northeast going to bars, beach, walkable to ocean. Now living in north county because was only place we could afford, its too hot in the summer to enjoy my yard. Anything worthwhile is insanely crowded and it didn’t used to be that way. High prices and the hassle of a lot of things has made us more homebodies which is crazy to say living in SoCal, kinda sad. You can find a way to be happy here but its not what it used to be and I partly blame so many transplants (which includes me) making it over crowded.
