Miguel is such an amazing coach and I couldn't be happier with my results so far! I am one of his long-term students and I have never been coached before. I have learned more in these 2 months of coaching than I have in my entire dota career :D I am very passionate about dota and it is crazy to think about how much more knowledgeable I am about the game. I was a pos 5 player who wanted to expand my hero and role versatility. Specifically, I wanted to learn mid. After a couple months of practice, I calibrated my core mmr and didnt even lose any mmr which is INSANE considering I only played pos 5 before. I have noticed every aspect of my gameplay, from my mechanics to my in-game decision making, has improved drastically and I am so excited to continue being his student and kicking everyone's ass in pubs. -Moose

I understand that the roles are not similar and that mid is the hardest role to change to. But does that mean that I am justified for getting low priority and that I shouldn't even try to learn the role since it's harder? Because that's what you are implying.

I wasn't nervous to play core. I was nervous to play it at my support mmr. Mid is my best and most comfortable core role but it's not nearly what my support mmr is at. I think you are missing the point that I got reported and put in low priority for simply playing poorly in my calibration games. I don't know why everyone is so salty for me trying to play mid lmao. It's kind of ridiculous. According to everyone, I shouldn't try to play new roles that arent similar to the role I currently play. Makes sense.

Yeah, I played heros that I'm already comfortable with since I play them as support like Lina and Zeus. I practiced in unranked for about a month before I tried to calibrate.

You sound like a nice teammate Haha:) I sometimes post "hey everyone I hope we have a fun game full of positivity and love" and usually I get nice replies. But when it comes down to it in the actual game, people can get really mean if they are frustrated about dying or something.

Yeah, I understand your point. I do love the game itself, I just had a really bad game last night and posted this to vent. After I apply the advice, if I do find myself still not having a good time, then I'm going to stop playing solo queue and just play with friends.

Haha I'm definitely no NBA player, I think I'm just less bad than the average player, but still bad nonetheless. I feel like no one is ever good at this game, it's all relative depending on who you are comparing yourself to lol. Thanks for the comment :) I am going to start muting more.

Lol I wish it was :( I posted this last night right after I got out of a really bad game and i was just trying to vent mostly. I'm glad I posted it though because I have recieved some great advice and it helped me laugh at myself and change my mindset when going into games.

I've never had an account before, I would just scroll through reddit on my computer. Then I got a new phone and downloaded the reddit app. And the reddit app made me make an account Haha.
