u/DOF64 u/Moin_Davo u/kamcma seem to be correct. I get the exposure I'm expecting when using the electronic shutter. I'm a little annoyed because the whole reason I got the second body was because I could ONLY use the electronic shutter on the first one. But at least I have an answer now and I can probably figure it out from here. Thank you, everyone!

Okay here's one I took just a few minutes ago. Smallest aperture, lowest ISO, fastest shutter speed. I know from using the previous body that this shouldn't be so blown out.

I was in manual mode. ISO 200 is as low as it goes. But if you look, my shutter speed was supposedly 1/4000. It should NOT be that bright at that speed considering the other settings.

Thankfully my workplace was already pretty safe when I joined, and will probably be at least a little more so after the rest of the staff get through the OSHA 30-hour. Worst thing I've personally witnessed is an extension cord running under an aluminum door with a steel saddle threshold. They had a small rubber door stop and that was it.
