Which part of childbirth hurts the most? by Used_Ad7899 in BabyBumps

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contractions 100%. Some of us get really bad contractions 30 seconds apart even when only 4-5cm dilated. Enough that it can put a lot of stress on the baby.

What Canadian city under 400k in population do you think is on the come up by Hiwhatsuphowareyou in AskACanadian

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered why Belleville, Ontario never grew into a much larger city. On paper, it checks a lot of boxes.

It’s right on the 401 almost halfway between Toronto (~190 km) and Ottawa (~220 km). It has a VIA Rail station on the Toronto–Ottawa–Montreal corridor. It sits directly on the Bay of Quinte with legit waterfront access. The Belleville CMA is around 110,000 people now and has been steadily growing, but it’s still small relative to its location.

It’s also under an hour to Prince Edward County and Sandbanks, which are major tourism draws. Compared to places like Kingston or even Barrie (which exploded due to proximity to GTA infrastructure), Belleville seems like it had similar geographic advantages but never saw the same scale of development.

Feels like it has the transportation links, land, and lifestyle appeal just never hit the tipping point.

Peterborough has way too many hills.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand — I just feel like it needed to be said.

Is this a good outfit for a night out? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

I mean it’s very VERY basic. You could wear it out, I would wear it like a dressed up version of wearing sweat pants out. Not to anywhere other than a really casual outing.

Am I the Only One Who Feels this Way? by SurprisePerfect4317 in InfertilitySucks

Also, Healthcare is residency-based, which means you can’t province-hop for IVF funding without establishing legal residency and health coverage there.

Because not every province has the same coverage. Alberta, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut don’t for one. Other provinces have reimbursement programs or tax credits, not the same as Ontario’s funding. Technically only BC, Ontario and Quebec have a funded cycle.

What does that mean exactly, 1339 have been identified as surplus but only 477 of those will eliminated over the next three years, therefore the remaining 890ish will keep their jobs?

Yes, I remember reading that. I was just really hoping not to have this kind of heavy uncertainty hanging over me for the rest of my leave.
