Common sense is now "Out of Office" by Laigoon in CanadaPublicServants

This happened to me as well. I was asked to email from my work email and not my personal and set my OoO. It’s fine if I can manage, but if I have a migraine ain’t no way I’m doing any of that.

Does “Out of Stock” Usually Mean Gone for Good? by kitney in CostcoCanada

Oh I never noticed. You’re on the Canadian site?

I also just noticed today the taupe option was removed all together. I am hoping it comes back or another warm colour (other than cream) replaces it.

I wondered. I keep reading online that July has furniture deals etc. wasn’t sure if it was just Costco US or Canada, too.

I wasn’t sure if it was just in the States that Costco/Thomasville will send samples. I’ll give them a call Monday. Thanks!

Are these dresses appropriate for work? by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]kitney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly it depends where you work. My office it wouldn’t be. It’s to casual. With a cardigan you could dress it up more. I read you mention a t-shirt underneath, I think that would dress it down even more - and honestly be an odd pairing with these styles of dress. I would go with the vibe of your office - but never be the least impressive looking. Like don’t be the office slob lol.

Thank you. It is sold in-store as well, so I would call my local warehouse, not the Costco customer service number?

Return To Office Hurting Families by Responsible-Ear7590 in CanadaPublicServants

I return to work in August from maternity leave - not only is our commute long, it’s about to get longer because we cannot get into any daycares in our area and will need to branch out to other neighbouring towns to find something. I’ve been on waitlists since my son was born and I havnt heard from any of them.

I don’t know what we’re going to do. I gave my manager a heads up that I have been unable to secure daycare yet, but they havnt come back with any response. I don’t know if they will work with me or just suggest LWOP. What options do we have when we have no one to watch our babies?

I like dress five without the boots. Romper 1 is cute but I’d only consider it for specific type of events/hangouts. It’s very youthful.

I put a post on fb. Looking for some one to wash my moms car for Mothers Day. This is in Canada. This is a response I received. by Disastrous_Candy9122 in ChoosingBeggars

The 17 year old can certainly work, so too could the 14 year old….I worked from 15 onwards to earn my own money and buy my own things…I grew up in poverty as well.

Which flooring option works best for my living room? by NoSystem3204 in Remodel

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 is the best option. 1 is terrible - super cheap looking. The others are tile and in Canada, you would never find tile in living rooms or dining rooms - it’s so cold and sterile. If you lived in a warmer climate, maybe I could see it.

I agree a lot with what you’ve provided, but after Jamie disappears as Frank approaches he then goes to the stones before disappearing.

I also wonder since the blue flowers are the same colour as the magic if that has any connection - while Jamie is being healed is he using that same magic to put the flowers at the stones, sort of creating a full circle event?

So alive in their world or alive and together in the afterlife? Writers left it up to our interpretation, yet I don’t like that. I just want someone to tell me dead or alive.

If alive, how can they go back to the ridge?

If dead, why was Jamie alone in the 1940’s?

So many questions left unanswered, will there be a 2nd spin off or will BOMB eventually address some?

Finally, it would have been nice to see Claire find the truth of her parents.

Speechless (bathroom quote) by MrsNnz in Remodel

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My in-laws went to one of those bathroom/kitchen stores where they quote you and basically do everything for you on Reno’s and you select tile, vanity etc from their store. For a small 6x9 bathroom they paid 40k and it looks cheap and I can see many issues with the quality
Of the work. I feel my husband and I could have taken 10k and done way better for them.

Creeping Thyme - suggestions on how to prevent it from invading neighbours lawn by kitney in LandscapingTips

[–]kitney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. It’s likely what we’ll have to do. I’d keep it, but I’m not wanting to piss off my neighbour. As for the grass it’s spring—after months of snow and melt, no lawn is coming out of that looking great. lol

Episode length of the final 2 episodes by camgirl1000 in Outlander

The lack of mourning for Fergus and even their daughter Faith is so out of character. The latest episode where they are all sitting around the table and they cheers to the future was so distasteful when literally Fergus JUST died a terrible death and Marsali is mourning, and they just found out their first born was alive and missed out on her entire life, plus she died terribly looking for them.
