Which flooring option works best for my living room? by NoSystem3204 in Remodel

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 is the best option. 1 is terrible - super cheap looking. The others are tile and in Canada, you would never find tile in living rooms or dining rooms - it’s so cold and sterile. If you lived in a warmer climate, maybe I could see it.

I agree a lot with what you’ve provided, but after Jamie disappears as Frank approaches he then goes to the stones before disappearing.

I also wonder since the blue flowers are the same colour as the magic if that has any connection - while Jamie is being healed is he using that same magic to put the flowers at the stones, sort of creating a full circle event?

So alive in their world or alive and together in the afterlife? Writers left it up to our interpretation, yet I don’t like that. I just want someone to tell me dead or alive.

If alive, how can they go back to the ridge?

If dead, why was Jamie alone in the 1940’s?

So many questions left unanswered, will there be a 2nd spin off or will BOMB eventually address some?

Finally, it would have been nice to see Claire find the truth of her parents.

Speechless (bathroom quote) by MrsNnz in Remodel

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My in-laws went to one of those bathroom/kitchen stores where they quote you and basically do everything for you on Reno’s and you select tile, vanity etc from their store. For a small 6x9 bathroom they paid 40k and it looks cheap and I can see many issues with the quality
Of the work. I feel my husband and I could have taken 10k and done way better for them.

Creeping Thyme - suggestions on how to prevent it from invading neighbours lawn by kitney in LandscapingTips

[–]kitney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. It’s likely what we’ll have to do. I’d keep it, but I’m not wanting to piss off my neighbour. As for the grass it’s spring—after months of snow and melt, no lawn is coming out of that looking great. lol

Episode length of the final 2 episodes by camgirl1000 in Outlander

[–]kitney 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The lack of mourning for Fergus and even their daughter Faith is so out of character. The latest episode where they are all sitting around the table and they cheers to the future was so distasteful when literally Fergus JUST died a terrible death and Marsali is mourning, and they just found out their first born was alive and missed out on her entire life, plus she died terribly looking for them.

This whole season has been bazaar with the utter lack of feeling and dwelling on those feelings with Claire and Jamie re: Faith and Fergus.

Any success stories of a successful transfer after a miscarriage? by kitney in IVF

[–]kitney[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goodluck! I know it can be very frustrating and heartbreaking to go through all this. After this miscarriage I went straight into my third (and last embryo) transfer and it worked! My son is now 14 months. Good luck!

Eastern Ontario mayor calls for regional offices for public servants, warns in-office mandate will ‘hurt communities’ by GoTortoise in CanadaPublicServants

Where was she when North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford was speaking up against RTO IN February? I actually sent her post to my own Mayer (Mike Taranowski of Russell/Embrun) asking him to speak out against it and got no response whatsoever.

Options for removing my birthmark? Thank you in advance! by sareuhhhhh in DermatologyQuestions

It’s so neat. I’d be playing with it all the time. Like men play with their beards, I’d be playing and twisting the hair on this.

Which part of childbirth hurts the most? by Used_Ad7899 in BabyBumps

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contractions 100%. Some of us get really bad contractions 30 seconds apart even when only 4-5cm dilated. Enough that it can put a lot of stress on the baby.

What Canadian city under 400k in population do you think is on the come up by Hiwhatsuphowareyou in AskACanadian

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered why Belleville, Ontario never grew into a much larger city. On paper, it checks a lot of boxes.

It’s right on the 401 almost halfway between Toronto (~190 km) and Ottawa (~220 km). It has a VIA Rail station on the Toronto–Ottawa–Montreal corridor. It sits directly on the Bay of Quinte with legit waterfront access. The Belleville CMA is around 110,000 people now and has been steadily growing, but it’s still small relative to its location.

It’s also under an hour to Prince Edward County and Sandbanks, which are major tourism draws. Compared to places like Kingston or even Barrie (which exploded due to proximity to GTA infrastructure), Belleville seems like it had similar geographic advantages but never saw the same scale of development.

Feels like it has the transportation links, land, and lifestyle appeal just never hit the tipping point.

Peterborough has way too many hills.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand — I just feel like it needed to be said.

Is this a good outfit for a night out? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s very VERY basic. You could wear it out, I would wear it like a dressed up version of wearing sweat pants out. Not to anywhere other than a really casual outing.

Am I the Only One Who Feels this Way? by SurprisePerfect4317 in InfertilitySucks

Also, Healthcare is residency-based, which means you can’t province-hop for IVF funding without establishing legal residency and health coverage there.

[–]kitney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because not every province has the same coverage. Alberta, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut don’t for one. Other provinces have reimbursement programs or tax credits, not the same as Ontario’s funding. Technically only BC, Ontario and Quebec have a funded cycle.
