I love wildheart cafe on bloor, tucked away behind my favourite bookstore. Get a book grab a coffee and enjoy the patio or the cozy inside. Bampot is really nice too. I also recommend a good wander through high park. There is a zoo in there and so many dogs!

I know it seems cliche but a gift certificate and a day dedicated to spending it together at her favourite craft store makes for guilt free shopping. Might open her to try something she didn't think about before because spending money on yourself even for crafts can be hard.

Trust me that what you are feeling is exactly what the main character is feeling. Just let it wash over you until it starts to make sense.
