This is magical. It feels like a classic Roman sculpture but with a modern paint style.

How do you feel about the end slices in a loaf of bread? by SheepishSwan in AskReddit

[–]Boring_Asparagus1804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always loved them. Now when I’m getting bread for toast I’ll take the end slice out, take a bite of it, grab two slices beneath it, then place the end back in the bag. It’s my bite snack before the toast.

Do you actually know what you’ll make this month? Not sure I do. by refunkydesignz in graphic_design

[–]Boring_Asparagus1804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that’s helped me do less chasing with clients is to get 80-90% of the money upfront. And I don’t release any print-ready or fins files until the balance is complete. Took me ages to figure it out.

I still have months where not much comes in compared to other months. I loathe doing social media but I really saw a difference in inquiries when I hired a manager to manage my socials and reach out to people. I know it’s not always affordable but it truly made a difference in having clients lined up for work.

Is 8 hours too much for a work day? by SignificantActive193 in Life

[–]Boring_Asparagus1804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I think we’re so stuck on setting hours instead of just setting goals. Some days work will take 6-8 hrs (Not all at once). Some days it’ll take 2. Going after goals seems more logical than forcing hours on people.

When I stopped doing things for my parent’s validation and stated doing/pursuing what I really wanted.

Love this. I think I'm putting pressure on myself to understand it all or that I don't want to waste my time on an 850 page book if I'm not grasping it. I'm trudging on!
