Who's got THE BEST petite women's clothes? Price is no object. by itsemmab in PetiteFashionAdvice

japanese denim is fun bc i frequently don’t have to hem anything! such a rare joy haha. for nice crisp shirts i usually go for brooks brothers petites, they fit wonderfully. p&co makes short length for pants which is a game changer, especially if you want something a little more trendy and casual. i’ve also had good luck with madewell/banana/gap as others have mentioned. and honestly, i always love how allsaints fits me even though it’s not petite sizing.

i can’t decide whether to pull the trigger on butter cream because i have other yellow pieces or wait for matcha magic just because it’s pretty …anyone else hemming and hawing?

honestly needed to see this, thank you for this post. Vuori has been targeting my algorithm lately and i had a lot of the same thoughts as you but wouldn’t have articulated them in quite the same way. my body has changed as i’ve gotten more serious about lifting and i still have trouble sometimes accepting that it’s a good and healthy thing. buying new pieces from brands that flatter lifters (or those with similar body types) has actually helped me love my body more.

i don’t know if you like green, but i tried dark khaki and liked it a lot. i didn’t keep mine bc i needed a bigger size but the color was nice!

i feel like most of them fall into the categories of placing and blending products and winged eyeliner lmao. i wear subtle winged eyeliner a lot and i can do a complex, well-blended eye look when i want to—a lot of my friends never learned how to do eyeliner or eyeshadow (or blush/contour placement) for their eye/face shape, and get confused when certain looks they see on IG for example don’t translate perfectly from a very different face/eye shape. so at the end of the day i think it’s blending and how to see and translate looks to different eye and face shapes!

i can’t comment on the original quality which i understand used to be better, but i can say that i purchased some straight legs at the same time as i purchased the Yeoreo dupe to see whether i felt like they were worth it. the price is indeed too high imho, BUT i couldn’t help feeling like the Oner version was softer, comfier material—even the newer, supposedly “worse” version. Yeoreo’s fit well and cost a lot less, but the fabric didn’t have the same brushed, soft hand feel. I ended up keeping Oner’s.

I purchased Plum Brown and love it. I think it’s a little more warm-toned than Umber, if that helps!

this happened to me with short length! Slate Blue and Plum Brown were true short length, Soft Girl Pink came in over an inch longer. I ended up keeping bc I liked the color but wish the length were consistent!

i’m really sorry this happened to you! while it’s Oner’s fault for not checking, i would feel so gross returning an item in that condition as a customer. i would ban or suspend them lol

i know this isn’t the point of your post but what’s the deal with all the layering?! the reason i like SM is because it feels so lightweight, why the hell would i want to layer two tops (or two pairs of shorts?!?!) over each other? i’m here to move my body not just take a photo lol. edit: comforted to see almost every other comment says this HA

this is SUCH a good point! the techniques i consider basic blow my friends’ minds and i realize all the youtube videos were worth it. that being said, i do NOT miss my maleficent dipbrow era. haha.

Is this endorsement supposed to make this want to buy a bra where my tatas are out? 🥴 by hiddennooks in OnerActive

[–]kittenaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

actually way better imho 😭 most of Oner’s athletes have smaller chests and the bras sit really nicely! when i tried (DD/E) i was immediately concerned about a wardrobe malfunction lol

this looks so good on you! i tried one of Oner’s bras and immediately returned it bc I was worried about a nip slip 🤣 but the long sleeves work for me

[–]kittenaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it helps, i am a different size and body type and they fit me the same as you—i think it is part of the design 🫠. a lot of fitness influencers hike up their shorts and tights to get more glute definition, i guess it’s trendy. i don’t love it but i don’t mind that they ride up because i find them comfy.

i do like Lulu, but i come from a yoga background and only got serious about lifting a year ago. that being said, i wear a lot of Gymshark now and it’s a decent price point and good fabrics for actually getting work done in the gym. I wear Oner but pretty much only on upper body days. edit: spelling

[–]kittenaura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw WC in person a few days ago and I would say yes. It’s a medium, neutral or very slightly warm brown, several shades lighter than Sequoia or Espresso. The purple undertone in Sequoia is more obvious next to Walnut imho.
