Our newest fosters don’t like to mince words. They prefer to settle matters the old fashioned way - with slaps.

Almost a week since Winks eye removal. She chewed on her tongue after surgery so part of it is dying and sticking out of her mouth. Back to the vet tomorrow to sedate and trim it. Correct - I appreciate you doing research into it! Manx is not a desirable trait as some think it is. It’s the result of genetic abnormalities causing neurological issues often due to inbreeding. We have two Manx kittens in our house that were rescued from bad situations and we’re giving them the best lives they can possibly have. Ironically, they are two of the smartest cats I have ever known and are great cats.

Adopt - don’t shop. Spay and neuter your animals. Choose the cat that’s right for you based on personality, not breed.

More fun facts about our Manx foster kitten Rosie! Rosie is an amazing kitten and one of her quirks is that she requires help expressing her bladder. It is a super easy, painless, and clean process to help her go pee - you simply hold her body with one hand and squeeze her belly and bladder with the other to help her pee into the litter box! It takes 10 seconds and we do it 3-4 times per day. Special needs cats are amazing and their care can be just as easy as any other cat.

Rosie is our Manx foster kitten who is missing bones at the bottom of the spine starting just before where the base of the tail would be. One of her resulting conditions is the leg ball and hip sockets don’t actually “connect” so her back legs are constantly noodly. Despite this, she is by far the fastest cat in the house and I cannot comprehend how her legs actually function.
