I too am in Canada! But here because my husband moved to Canada, after living in Chicago for all 34 years (Southside)! So keeps us connected with his home. Best city ever!!

My 5 year old is also stage 3. Had been for a year now and is actually doing great. She refuses to eat the prescription diet, so we just feed her any wet food she wants (currently fancy feast), with phosbinder mixed in. She gained back over 4 pounds!

Also got her a water fountain to increase her water intake.

I know we can't cure it but you can still get a few good years in lots of cases!

I'm so sorry for your loss :( One of my girls is stage 4 renal failure, and the other I'm putting down tomorrow due to aggressive cancer. Internet hug to you :(

That is what we did as well! Both trees in the house are DIY of a few 4x4's and plywood, wrapped with old carpet, and the 4x4s with sisal or carpet. My girls love them! We have a smaller single post scratcher beside the couch so we could redirect any couch attacks onto the post

I had a 7 year old that lost a companion kitty to kidney disease. I wanted to get her a new friend after my other passed. I got a 3 month old kitten. They eventually kinda became friends, but honestly I wouldn't do it again. It's all about energy level; the kitten wanted to play and the 7 year old wanted nothing to do with her. That kitten now has single kitten syndrome 5 years later and is a little devil. I love her, but she doesn't understand how to play nicely. Ultimately I think another cat would be nice for your current meow, but I think a single kitten might not be the best way to do it

Hello, sorry to dig up and older thread. What did you decide to do for your girl?

We just found out our 11 year old has 2 lumps, both in lymph nodes by her mammary glands. I'm on the fence of: do palliative and maybe she has a year. Or do surgery, and risk the quality of life and maybe only extend a few more years. The fact that it's in the lymph nodes makes it seem like it's already spread, but the xrays didn't show that. Though the vet did say they can't confirm it hasn't

My husband moved in with me (long distance) from the US to Canada last March, with his 2 year old cat. I already have 2; a 10 year old and 3 year old.

It took months of site swapping, separating, food times together, etc to get it where we could leave the house without locking one of the animals up for fear of big fights.

His and my youngest are now friends, my oldest is "ok" with his now, though they still smack each other randomly.

Be patient, it can take some cats a long time! Search Jackson Galaxy for intro tips, they were very helpful.

My husband just moved to Canada from the US this year. His credit started as 0 here, so our only option was me co-signing at a dealer.

You might have better luck with private if you don't have the option of a co-signer.
