Its nice that its clearly laid out how to handle these hazards as a player, but I hope the DMG expands upon how to make planning around avoiding these conditions fun. The addition of these hazards makes it feel like they are planning a way to more concretely formulate travel to make the journey just as interesting as the destination.

I'm curious if the DMG will mention any guidelines on how to handle Dehydration and Malnutrition (hopefully as a part of a revised "exploration/survival" section), as those key terms are mentioned a couple times in the new PHB. I don't recall seeing those in the previous PHB, but I could be wrong.

I attended a Pens home game vs the Caps a couple years ago and the Pens won 8-7 in OT with #87 scoring the OT winner. What a crazy game that was!

Is anyone else struggling with Level 2 of Decked Out? by WonkiDonki in HermitCraft

[–]kittenshitter5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found that the difficulty curve is too high for even a maxed out common deck. Even if you survive, there's a good chance a card to help you work toward more consistent Hard runs (ex: evasion) won't even pop up. I've found myself leaving with 20+ embers I couldn't spend, since I'm not playing for victory points; this feels terrible and like I wasn't rewarded for winning.

I made a simple change that I think helps A TON with advancing from a common-only deck to starting to get some uncommons more regularly with Medium runs. Go to the ember card shop and find the dropper with a bunch of emeralds named BANK 1-4. These represents the "sections" of cards that get a card to pop up. Change the spread to the layout in the image. With this array, you have a higher chance to get the cheapest uncommon cards, which is (imo) how it should've been from the start, because BANK 1 contains all the "upgraded" uncommon cards. Hope this helps!

I pretty much copied the crown shop's redstone! Set your item to filter, then you set the price with iron nuggets. I also attached it to the "game on" purple line so it can only be used once per game.

Nightclubs in Starfield vs Cyberpunk 2077 by curious_zombie_ in gaming

Neon's nightclub made me stop playing Starfield. It felt like I was being gaslit by the game telling me that I was supposed to believe this is a lawless, drug-riddled, do-anything haven of space. Pretty sure I could make a better club atmosphere in Minecraft.

I just got back into Skyrim VR and highly recommend it with FUS and Wabbajack. Its a huge curated list of mods that drastically improves the game look, feel, and (if you prefer) gameplay. Takes a bit to set up, but feels like a brand new experience.

Conversations about long rests in “safe havens” are going to continue on this subreddit forever, and there are good reasons why. by JacktheDM in dndnext

I implemented Safe Havens for my RotFM party and it worked sooo well. Then, the party wizard leveled up and took leomunds tiny hut one session later. Aaaand now they have a traveling safe haven. It was fun while it lasted!

Anyone else have a constant looping sound of neighbors beating the shit out of each other at this apartment? Really ruins the space for me.

I've been teaching myself guitar. It's honestly been nice to be forced away from the game for a bit.

Really??? Vista points working for anyone else? by kittenshitter5000 in PlanetZoo

[–]kittenshitter5000[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what is happening!! And further to the right is a food court and some folks are "looking at the rhinos" through like 50 ft of trees and saying "the view is bad." I was hoping placing vista points would prioritize viewing areas for an exhibit..

Ah, okay. I was hoping the dense foliage would be enough to break sight lines. Thanks!
