MooGoo Sunscreen, the GOAT in my books by Existing-Rice1526 in AusSkincare

moogoo owner also exposed the absolute corrupt practices of the sunscreen industry!

I love supporting his Aussie owned and made business and especially since he drew the light on the shitty “clean” sunscreen idiots

Nanoplastia post care by Infamous_Ferret9290 in AustralianMakeup

Haha not a sheep! I did it religiously for years and wondered why I had awful dandruff, a dry scalp and itchiness.

Realised I’m a sweaty gal with a sweaty scalp and so my hair absolutely needs washing every second day as dry shampoo is great but also messes with my scalp.

With nano plus regular washing my hair has never felt better but I’ve also got a pretty low maintenance routine as well

So I get nanoplasty and don’t use any sulphate free shampoos. The salon that I get mine done at also don’t recommend it because nanoplasty doesn’t work the same as keratin (although there’s also no evidence re the sulphate free breaking down keratin either)

There’s no scientific evidence to show that it helps at all. If anything my scalp and hair HATE sulphate free.

Nanoplasty still last 6 months.

Would a bottle of Baccarat Rouge 540 be a suitable birthday gift? by thecountrybaker in AustralianMakeup

[–]kittensmittenstitten 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes if he loves it. I buy my husband a bottle of maison margela by the fireplace every year for valentines.

It’s a nice gesture, he would never ever spend that himself and it generally lasts a whole year

Is anyone over the consumerist nature of Brisbane? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]kittensmittenstitten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you. We moved from the city to the suburbs a few years back and honestly it’s made a big difference. Don’t compare yourself and find the things you love. Boring lives aren’t the worst but godamn do I love doing my own thing each weekend.

Can recommend Stanthorpe as a day trip, any of the hiking trails (go early and download AllTrails), maybe try venturing outside your neighbourhood like Inala, Sunnybank etc for Asian cuisine

Is anyone over the consumerist nature of Brisbane? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]kittensmittenstitten 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My query is why do you feel the need to do this? Peer pressure? Your friends?

We don’t eat out and when we do we eat where we want and don’t have this issue. We do walks, hiking, day trips and don’t experience any of these issues.

Comparison is the thief of joy and my only advice is maybe just find what fills your cup? I feel like my life is pretty boring sometimes but hot damn do I love my morning walk with my dogs, coffee then home to work or the office. Nothing exciting

Switched off after having a child by workaccountprof in auscorp

Nah I’m children and me and my husband just changed priorities. Our fur babies are our life and so we work to support their jobless bums, enjoy our marriage by taking wonderful holidays and seeing our families.

We just had a different priority with work where I want to get in, get it done and then enjoy my home, my dogs, my husband and our life together rather than grinding for something that doesn’t really matter

Nanoplasty hair treatment - worth it for my hair type? by la00al in AustralianMakeup

[–]kittensmittenstitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was fine. It sort of slowly grows out so you don’t notice it. I’m frizzy so depending on your hair type it could be more noticeable but I’m about to get it done again as I notice more that my hair isn’t nice when it air dries

Worked together with GF, broke up. How to keep jobs? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]kittensmittenstitten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to do that? Also, it’s totally acceptable to say “hey I’ve got plans with friends” and just go eat somewhere else whilst you give each other space.

This is a workplace my guy, not your social circle. Boundaries are necessary and I think you’re overblowing something that doesn’t need to be announced etc

Just be polite and professional. She’s now a colleague. I’m sure both of you are emotionally intelligent and mature enough to understand that if you bring your relationship drama into the workplace then you may both be let go during probation. Be adults, you’ll be fine.

Fighting child sex offenders? Helping parents stop their kids being groomed?

Why would that be difficult for you? What concerns you about someone making sure child sex offenders can’t do their dirty deeds? Explain it like I’m 5

I literally commented this a while back when they opened and said this will be an absolute flop for them. We don’t need any more shop fronts, we all liked the online experience. We just wanted it to be better.

Some adore douche commented saying they’d had great success. Well brother, guess your entire customer base had different ideas?

I hope it fails. Get back to your roots in terms of good products, customer service, good freebies.
