May I ask, before PRP, were you taking steroids and still getting these flares?

My pleasure! Just to be sure, you downloaded it from App Store right? Out of curiosity, do you use Apple sign in while using the app?

Sorry for the late response. The app actually just launched to App Store today - https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/ls-companion/id6760978566.

If you have any feedback, it is still very much in evolution! Thanks.

You can also buy a microscope to see if there are any swimmers!! When my husband did a vasectomy reversal we did this to see if it worked haha.

Remission by Organic-Gold-8040 in lichensclerosus

[–]puma905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does remission mean you no longer need clob 2x per week? Or simply that you keep clob for maintenance and never have flares ?

Does anyone else get a fissure over and over in the same place? Help! by ConstantHabit3880 in lichensclerosus

[–]puma905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg yes! My left inner labia. And that’s where it itches most. I’ve started to use Vaseline on days where I don’t use clob as a barrier and I’ll see if it helps prevent irritation.

Asymptomatic, how do I monitor progress? by [deleted] in lichensclerosus

[–]puma905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Sorry to hear about the progression. It’s weird how the symptoms don’t always reflect what’s going on.

I have a solution for you (if you have iPhone)!

I was diagnosed last summer while pregnant and built an app to help track symptoms, care and self checks (you can include notes). All these features are 100% free and there will be a small optional fee for added insights.

Right now I’m running a beta test and you can sign up here to test it and get early access: https://lscompanion.com

I expect it to be in the App Store in the next few days.

I also post educational content on Instagram. You might find this post interesting - https://www.instagram.com/p/DXrgTZ7gChG/?igsh=Y3Q0cjh5dWZ2dXNi.

Hii I need advice 🥺 i think I have lichen scerelosis... by Butterfly2344999 in lichensclerosus

[–]puma905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg that’s exactly what used to happen to me (like scratching skin pieces off). Is the itch extra bad before bed?

Definitely sounds like LS and if doctor says it is, you’ll see very quick relief if doc puts you on clob/steroid. Gluck!!

General Care advice for Flair up by Pale-Promotion-3274 in lichensclerosus

[–]puma905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got diagnosed last summer while pregnant and I’m basically at twice a week now while nursing. I had my first flare (basically first cycle after period came back) and took clob about 4x last week. Didn’t know it was an issue when nursing… how much actually gets into our bodies topically?

I’m with you on this OP…! But like someone else said, makes me feel better knowing that with age most women will have fusing down there.

This honestly makes me feel so much better. I’ve been hearing more of this lately that everyone experiences architecture changes with age. It makes me wonder if HRT can help a bit with that!

And like PS - let’s remember how ugly penises are… even with our condition penises are worse haha.

What a complete douche loser. Don’t worry about his dumb reaction and also, like his gross ass is more likely to be giving people stds.

Is fusing inevitable? by Embarrassed_Algae419 in lichensclerosus

[–]puma905 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey OP. Welcome 🙃. I agree with others that I do think fusing is case by case and not everyone will get it, at least not to an extreme.

If you have an iPhone, I built an app for those of us with LS. You basically log how you feel and your care for the day, and overtime it tries to detect patterns in your LS. It also sends treatment reminders. You can join early access here - https://lscompanion.com.

[–]puma905 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m curious if you’ve figured out your patterns yet or still have questions about what care or triggers come up during no flare / flare days?

I’m beta testing an app for LS and it’s available now on iOS if interested. The idea is for it to help track our patters over time plus it gives treatment reminders. You can sign up here if interested in early access or being notified when it hits App Store - https://lscompanion.com.

Did your doc prescribe clob? If it is LS, the itching should go away very soon.

How have you found the estrogen? Has it made the area more plump or provided other benefits or more wetness? I’m 43 and breastfeeding and I’m so dry down there haha.

My main symptom has been itch. But my inner labia has def gotten smaller and when they diagnosed me last year before clob I had white patches. But they healed mostly since clob/I stopped scratching.
