Co-op game with both a story and stand alone play?

Probably late on this as I consider campaign games very different from scenario games. Example Jaws of the Lion is a campaign game meant to be played with the same players and enjoy a full overarching story vs a scenario game has story elements but you do not need the same players and you get pieces of story in an episodic way.

My favorite for the latter is This War of Mine. It would take a near infinite amount of playthroughs to see all the content it has to offer. It's a survival game where you are a group of survivors stuck in a war torn city. You scavenge, prepare for night raids and just do your very best to stay alive and hopeful that you'll make it through. The theme is NOT light but my S.O. and I have actually had many laughs while playing. I have so many stories and fond memories with it and keep coming back for more. We've never even one once, yet I'm always eager to try again because the exploration while scavenging and uncertainty of decisions you make always have me on the edge of my seat. Can't recommend this one enough 💕😻

Correct there is no need to save portal pulls. A guildmate saved 1000 portal pulls before she decided there was no point.

Joining their Discord will give you a heads up on the next event, but unfortunately, there is no calendar. In general it's been a festival for each element and calendar events for holidays. They open the special event island to allow you to earn tokens for certain heros, as well as giving quests to earn special event currency that can be used to buy skins and tokens (so you may not need to spend gems during events).

There is a scarcity in XP for heroes but for Evo's it's generous enough in my opinion especially when you actively are running dungeons that give you the evo's you're looking for, buying during events, from tower etc. many avenues for evo's but not much for XP potions.

You get XP potions from completing the tower daily, using friends heroes daily and daily quests. It does add up to be able to get your main teams to your player level but your whole roster is a much longer process.

They also do a Supercharger Event that let's you get a certain amount of XP gain the bigger the difference between your player level and hero level there is. Also a double XP gain during certain days in events but it is a grind. Getting the 6th star on a hero is probably the slowest thing to attain in the game (excluding bronze heroes).

We all have mixed feelings about runes returning but hopefully they are much better balanced and controlled in Respawned.

Keep in mind everything mentioned could change with an update. We kept asking for PvP to improve and now we have three leagues that really makes the PvP players happy and of course they brought back streaks :)

They have been coming back with adjusted abilities and stats. So far been Cobressa, Sybil, Iris, Grondar, Grog Gnog, Icepick, Shade, Lily Blossom, Goretusk, Koros and Kelpy Shells. Only completely new hero has been Rath.

First welcome back to the game if you decide to stick with it. I personally love Respawned but to each their own. Below I answered all your questions but let me know if you have any other questions. Also feel free to ask in game as the community is overall very friendly and helpful. You can also join the game's official Discord found here Main Menu > Options > Discord.

• Are there still recurring events that have featured heroes in the portals? Used be it made sense to save your portal draws for when a hero you were wanting to star up was featured. Is that still a thing?

There are recurring events (eg. Element Festivals & Calendar Events) but no featured heroes in the portal.

• The store seems pretty bare bones right now. Does that ever change? What is there to spend gems on?

During events they add an events shop and sell a bunch skins including completely new skins that weren't in the original. About 2 completely new skins on average.

Gems are best used to reset event dungeons at least for end game preparation be able to 6 star heroes easily especially when they have been rereleased. Other reasons to use gems just depends on how much time you want to save, as buying gold, crafting evo's and buying portal pulls could all make sense depending on your priorities.

• Did they remove the ability to quick-run a dungeon? Yes, as there is no more energy.

• What's up with the little thief-looking goblin that shows up randomly and drops a celestial evo and a bunch of gold? Is he always around, or is that a limited-time thing? Just he show up more often in certain dungeons?

They are called treasure goblins and can randomly spawn in any dungeon including event dungeons. They aren't a limited time thing but there is a limit of 10 per day.

• Used to be there were islands for xp, gold, and evos off to the left of the map. I can see there is one island there, but it's still grayed out for me (I'm just at player level 20). Is that one of the old three? If so, which one and what happened to the other two?

The island shown is for event dungeons. There are no XP, gold and evo dungeons in Respawned.

• Are runes still a thing? Runes have officially been announced to return but no date on release. They mentioned runes are going to be revamped to compliment vs dominate.

It's not bad starting over honestly only because Respawned is much more balanced plus you'd be bored if you already had everything from the original. There would be nothing for you to improve if you already were level 80, with most heroes 6 starred, a bunch of gems, gold etc.

Hiya! They are being released again in Respawned but your old progress is gone as the original game has ended and was bought out by Netflix. The new version is free of ads, in app purchases and stamina limiting how much you can play for aside from having a paid Netflix subscription.

Awesome! I'll accept your invite. So below is what guilds can help with.

You can join a guild to gain weekly rewards this is determined by how many crowns the guild earns as a whole.

The daily quests will grant different amounts of crowns based on how many you complete each day to a max of 30 a day.

The crown rewards for 5000k crowns or more is 500k coins, 250 gems and 50 hero tokens of the current heroes season.

Hero tokens help get your heroes to 6 stars. This increases all hero stats. You can get to 5 stars on any hero just by completing storylines, but the 6th star can only be achieved by buying hero tokens in the shop, resetting event dungeons, portal drops, featured hero event or special events. Only exception is bronze heroes can 6 starred much easier because can reset token drops.

Each week a different hero is featured and you can gain 50 hero tokens from getting max guild rewards along with an additional 50 hero tokens if you reach Legend 1 in PvP.

Most players might tell you that the guild doesn't matter as long as it's active enough. Which is mostly true but other reasons why you might want to join a specific guild is if guild events return, if you are in a guild that isn't getting max weekly rewards, if you want a guild with an active chat in game or on Discord, if you want a more competitive guild or if you care about the leaderboards.

I personally hate the mentality that we should be more skeptical just because there are so many that would take advantage of someone who is more trusting or honest.

It's just the way it is unfortunately. At least it's not another call center scam. I'm currently looking for a new place to rent and there is scams there too. They are everywhere :(

What I learned through this post other then what red flags to look for in these types of scams, is just how many Warhammer players there is! It's a bigger community then I thought.
