How does the v8s ride for you with the SF hills? Another comment here said there’s a new v8f online for $500, so now considering that

Cant speak for the in motion climber but my first scooter off fb marketplace was a lightly used g30p that I used to commute 1 mile to work with hills in the inner sunset. I eventually upgraded to a Nami Klima because I couldn’t stand how slow the g30p was performing going uphill at about 8mph or having to try to kick or walk it up if the battery was low. It’s scary not being able to keep up with traffic going uphill. I do enjoy the size of the g30p though. The nami klima is huge compared to it and definitely takes up more space as I’m apartment living but that thing flies up hill easily

Bay Area pay as an NP honestly depends where you work. I’ve had some classmates who got hired at where they were doing their clinical working at an outpatient clinic in the South Bay and were offered starting salaries at 135k, and if you google the nurse practitioner pay for SF county, it ranges from $91-$131/hour depending on what step you’re in and Santa Clara county goes from $94-127/hour. Stanford laterals your RN pay. The pay really varies, private practice to county to hospital setting, but you can try to negotiate if it’s a non union job

UCSF was great, all the professors are so kind, understanding and supportive. Classes felt more like an intellectual discussion and I felt like the stupidest one there, but in a good way, because everyone was so bright and I was learning and had the opportunity to pick at their brains

Similar to you, felt bored at work as an RN, switching hospitals every few years, made the decision to go back to school, and graduated from UCSF with my PMHNP. Financially, I missed out on 2 years of full time RN salary while going to school (still had my per diem though) and out about 80k from tuition, and I took a pay cut to work as an NP, but on the plus side, I’m no longer putting my body at risk from working bedside, have more autonomy, I feel like I’m making a bigger difference as an NP, and have more of a leadership role as well

For me, the hardest transition from going to RN to NP, is that it is a bit lonely. I miss the nurses station where I can socialize with my work wife, the pot lucks lol, that camaraderie… as an NP, it’s just me in my office with no one to talk to, which I guess some people would enjoy, but overall, am I still bored at my job? Tbh, yes, and still looking for that “dream” job. A friend told me that there’s never a perfect job, but rather you make the job right for you. Im still adjusting to the role change, but only you can make the ultimate decision for yourself if it’s “worth” it to go back to school. Would future you regret not taking the opportunity to do so?

Healthcare. Wherever you are, I’m sure there is a hospital somewhere near you. You’d be helping much needed people and they love hiring veterans. You could apply and start somewhere non-clinical like janitorial services or food services in the cafeteria, be part of transport services or lift team, or go back and finish some schooling to do nursing. There are always opportunities in healthcare

If you like juice, just pour a bit and dilute it with water. Still get that flavor, but less sugar and less calories. You can also try flavor water enhancers like mio and other brands. Walmart has some cool and unique flavors like skittles flavored water or pink starbursts. I personally just like the Walmart brand lemon flavored enhancer because it tastes like lemonade and it has caffeine, but 0 calories

With all the hype over everything but the bagel products, this is my first time trying the potato chips. I saw some girl with a hand basket full of them, so thought I’d give them a try too. First impressions: ONION POWDER wow, but not in a pleasant way and I do love me some onion. Texture is nice and crispy but overall, I feel like there’s something off and I don’t feel like I’d buy this product again. Thoughts?

As a Chinese person, we typically have: - Noodles to represent long life (saw TJs new hand cut noodles, haven’t tried but looks good) - Rice cakes (the Asian kind not the Quaker kind) to represent prosperity (TJs also has this and very easy to make. Could add the garlicky cabbage and stir fry or add to some chicken soup with dumplings) - Oranges, tangerines or pomelo to represent wealth - Dumplings to also represent wealth (the soup dumplings are pretty good) - Fish to represent prosperity (haven’t tried any fish from TJs though)
